Be careful with this, it automatically adds Norton Systemworks 2006 in with the bundle.

To get rid of it, click on the "offers" tab at the top, then click to remove the Systemworks Package. This brings it down to £200.

Hope this helps, great package at a bargain price!
  • I'd go with the dell deal.

    It becomes £200 uf:

    1. You sell the screen on ebay for £170
    2. You complain and get £30 refund

I did and got the pc for less than £200!! (it is far better than this system)
    Link now removed! sorry

Is this worth buying - I was planning on replacing my hard drive only and have Windows ME so this would be a good buy ? Which dell system is the previous post referring to please

    Thanks

Dell deal has ended...if you take it that XP home will be about £60.00, and hard drive about £25-£35, memory around £15 processor about £45, dvd writer £20-£30 its parts alone make it a good deal

There is a Fujitsu Siemens deal around at the moment. AMD Semperon 300 processor, 256 RAM, 40 HD.

In a case that is rock solid and very quiet.

£215 plus VAT from C2000 if you know someone in the trade. What makes this good value is the included 3 year on site warranty.

215+VAT = £250 + whatever postage you might have to pay... making it at least 25% more expensive than this even before postage.

I think the whole point in this post is that for £199 you can walk in to your local PC world (having ordered online first) and pick up a perfectly reasonable PC for quite humble money. Yes, there are other better machines out there for more money OR maybe better ones available to order online, but to walk in off the street and go home with it i think thats a pretty good deal.

Hi Paul. I was not saying it wasn't a good deal. Just that a machine with 3 years on site warranty for £250-ish is a good deal. Particularly for that brand. They are rock solid machines and certainly better designed that the E-machine.

Worth note is that buying one gives you the option to buy a TFT for £49. Not sure how much 15" TFTs are now, but seems a good deal.
