If you're going somewhere that isn't off the beaten track, you could just buy the stuff when you get there. It's a personal thing but I usually take a miniature or sample of shampoo, conditioner, etc and then have a good rummage in the local supermarket when I get there. It's also a good source of nice, inexpensive, presents to take home!hi people ,i need some advice on whether i am ok to take large bottles of shampoo or deoderant, other cosmetics,in my suitcase,or am i still limited to small quantities.also can people carry lighters in there bags or pockets on the plane,am a bit confused people telling me different stories.

when packing larger packs of shampoo, sun tan lotion etc.. always open and sweeze out the air. They don't explode then, regardless of how much they are thrown around

At the risk of sounding patronising which I hope I'm not, remember that the 100ml rule applies to the size of the container, you cannot have a half full bottle of 200ml perfume and claim to be within limits, I believe this is one of the main reasons for confiscation as some view the liquid as the measure and not the container0
