you can still have all the info you need in a signature but put it all on 4 lines with a bar to seperate or using different colours for each item

The Forum Team have given the BG's a standard phrase to pm to people with long signatures

some people have smaller monitors and what may be 8 lines on a large monitor can become a signature of 12 lines as the monitor gets smaller,
have a few of these together and people are only getting 2 or 3 posts on their screen,

as I said the MSE Team are behind this but we can't pm everybody all at once so it a slow process, however if we have pm'd someone and they keep their long sig then the Abuse Team will remove the whole sig for you and leave a note asking you to stick to the rules

having a :T or  or a jumping smiley in your sig makes it larger as they take up extra lines for their animation,

it is possible to keep to the rules though, below I have posted 'oops a daisy's' sig as it could be done :)

same here but glad did say it has to include the spaces for the four lines!

thus includingmyself 8 of the above 9 are breaking the request still

    Will

    ......and this could easily be

    £2 Club= £58 - Blockbuster credit=£44 - Trade in from Xbox=£40
    Money from small change=£24.55
its for an XBOX360!!! - Or maybe Norwich City Football Club

it's for other readers benefit not mine :)

and without the smileys this would be within the 4 line rule :)

    Total debt at 1st April 2006 = £7839.84 Total debt now = £6895.40
Debt free date = February 2008 , Was June 2008 (or before )
£2 Coin Savers Club (started 1/4/06) = £66 for holiday spends

    Saving for Christmas 2006 (started 25/2/06) = £44

the sigs and their info are great but rules are rules sorry and it does make for more pleasant reading if they are neater :)

My sig is as small as I need it, I don't use anything complex and havn't had any e-mails. so hopefully they will leave it alone.

Thank you Glad, the explanation was most useful. It's good to know that everyone that doesn't meet the MSE rules will be contacted in time. That takes away the feeling of being personally targe:o ted

I have adjusted mine to under 4 lines as I really don't want it removed all together ;)

The only think that bothers me about signatures is the colours that people choose. Yellow for instance is impossible to read but then I guess maybe people don't want us to read what they have on there  :rotfl:

Yep, I had one as well, so cut mine down. Haven't heard anything since so hopefully its ok? Do have a lightbulb smiley though, will shift the debt totals around a bit more I think to try and put it on less lines like everyone else. Don't want to make it difficult for anyone to read the forum!!
