Sprinkle some salt into the centre of the large flat leaves - this will kill them after a few days.

Just make sure you only get it on the dandelion as the salt will scorch the grass.

After that just keep cutting very regularly - before they get chance to seed and spread.

I've just sprayed the ones in our lawn with some "complete lawn weed killer" - don't know the full name as it's in the garage. I don't think it's as strong as regular weedkiller, but the surrounding grass has survived.

In the past we have tried Feed, Weed and Mosskiller, but the dead moss looks terrible.

Same here, theres hundreds of them springing up all over the gardens. I've just mowed them with the grass, but any ideas to kill them off would be great. Don't wanna have to start digging them up and leave a big a mess, as theres far too many this year

before you pour the salt on, pull off the flower and some of the leaves so that it "bleeds" - then the salt is absorbed quicker :)

Assuming they're in the lawn?? Use 'Weed & Feed' (B&Qs own is good enough. Only buy the one with moss killer in - if you've also got moss!)

But apply it as on the pack (grass dry / soil wet + rain expected in 48hrs!!) If weather forecasting isn't your thing - try a proprietary liquid weedkiller which doesn't harm the grass - such as Verdone.

But the Weed + Feed granules are the best as they give the grass a boost whilst killing the weeds by destroying the roots. So - it encourages the grass to fill in the ex-weed patches at the same time.
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
