Hi there
I am sure this has been asked before, but....
We are emigrating at the end of the year. I have an ISA with the Portman. As I will no longer be permanently resident, would I have to close this?
Thanks

ISA Factsheet:
However, interest is tax-free only for UK residents. You must declare the interest in the country you move to and pay tax there if necessary. If you open an ISA and then move abroad, you are no longer classed as a UK resident. So you cannot put money into the ISA.
You can still keep your ISA open and you will still be entitled to the tax benefits on investments held in the ISA. If you become UK resident and ordinarily resident, you can start putting money in again.0
