its so reassusring on here, everyone in similar boats (albeit different sizes) facing up to debts while having a life......we're still practicing the baby making, but hoping to get into proper training next year!!;)
good luck to you & hubby with debt busting, baby making & enjoying the little one you already have
x
I think the sole reason I am so positive re my journey is because of what you said - everyone on here being in the same boat - all be it some in pedallo's and others in something masking the titanic (I feel like I am aboard that, but this one doesn't sink!).
Everyone is so positive in their respinses for debt free wannabes and I feed of it.
Just noticed there's some more additions to the Debt Free Roll of honour boards - I can't wait until it's me on there!

Hi All
Well last time I posted it was Thursday 24th - the day before pay day and the day my friend has his little boy. Congrats to them! I also remember as I was feeling a bit rotten on the night and the same on the following morning. I thought I felt sick because I had a splitting headache. anyhoooo - I did a pregnancy test on Friday lunch time at home and it was positive - YEY so I am pregnant with our second bundle of fun. We are over the moon :j:D:beer::T
Thanks you all for the good luck with the baby making comments - they must've worked!
I had to come back to work after I found out and couldn't tell hubby til on the night so you can imagine how long friday afternoon took to pass! Lol.
I went home on the night, did another test to be doubly sure and then told my DD1 who I told to tell Daddy. She just came right out with it - Mammy's got a baby in her tummy - he was sooo pleased when he realised:D
So aside from our wonderful news I have made my big monthly payments on Friday too. I am trying to clear my Tesco credit card first and the DFD of that is planned for Dec 2010. I am overpaying above the min payment of £75 or something and paying £150 a month now so once I get a few payments under my belt it should reduce quite quickly. She says in hope!
Once the evil tesco is gone I am transferring the payment of £150 to capital one to get shot of that too. That will be another year on top of Tesco *yawn* Not good when you're imaptient like me!
But my mess so I will clear it up and teach my kid*s* the value of money too!
So far I have recued the LBM debt by 1.23% (OMG is that it!) but again, once the payments start adding up, it will come down quicker.
I can't wait to be debt free!!!
I am also selling loads on ebay ATM - perfumes I don't use, body lotions etc just sat in a draw so best of in someone elses draw than mine, esp as they're paying for it! hehehe
Also coming up to Christmas (yey) things are naturally tigher than ever so I have done the world's (well mine) strictest grocery budget ever. I have planned on spending a mere £105 this month for us all inc toiletries etc. This is because I am using all the freezer contents and storecupboard too (did I write that before?) Anyway, I am not just thinking about it but doing it now and it feels soooooo good!
Tonight we have the most fab lamb shepherd's pie thingy. It's lamb mince, lamx oxo cube, onions all fried up and fat drained. Then lamb gravy made from stock bube (lamb again) and half a jar of redcurrant sauce and a touch of port or sherry. Reduce it down and shove it in a cermic pot with a load of mash and cheese mixed in on the top and bang it in the oven til it looks how you like it.
Right - it's lunch time so I am off to get something before the sickness kicks in. Back soon.

Managed to almost sleep through last night til my little girl decided she wanted me at some undesireable hour in the monrning. That was me awake for lord knows how long. Resulting in me sleeping in, or rather, refusing to get up. Anyhoo only at work til 4 today so bonus. Same as every friday.
Things are going well with pregnancy ATM touch wood. Just letting my little pea grow
My grocery challenge was supposed to be £175 for the month of 25th Sept (pay day) to 24th Oct. Having re jigged my figures and done menu plans up until that date my new challenge is £130. Sounds low to me but when I put it on paper it's do-able.
I have saved £2.10 towards my sealed jar challenge- better than nothing and when it gets to (yet to be decided) I am going to pay it off the required thing at time. Either over draft of credit card.
Managed to sell a load of things on Ebay I was going to bin, so poting them today or tomorrow - very :money:so I am proud.
Plans for the weekend are to start sorting the spare bedroom out which is full of stuff that is waiting to be organised and a place found for it to stay! There's a kids wardrobe full of books and photos and albums which I need to fill up and sort. I haven't decided if the kids will share a room yet or sleep separate but even so I want the room sorted. That will take all weekend!
At present I have only reduced my debt by 1.23% but this time next month it'll be 2.33% YEY. I can't wait for that date when I am free - I know I say this all the time but it means so much to me and that's what keeps me going.
Going to go and [STRIKE]look like I am working[/STRIKE] do some work now peeps. Have a good one.

Congratulations! :j
Sounds like you're even more into to do lists than me! I have to try and limit myself or I end up with too many and too much on them!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Me again :rotfl:
OK, so I have done some figure crunching for the future.
If I work to plan, which I am so far so pleased, then APPARENTLY I will have some spare cash (by this I mean more to pay off my debts with, not to flounder!) in July 2010. This is rather strange as I am not used to the thought of having money! I know I will put it towards debts but just nice to see my spreadsheet in the black (or blue in my case as I am sad) oppose to the Red which is all I see ATM.
Anyhoo, so July next year I will have, all be it a small, amount of money to myself that I need to allocate. The amusing thing is by the end of the year I will have 3 k apparently!!!! Watch this space. :T
