A day in the life of....me

Afternooon all
Even though I have the most annoying headache ever (who says I exagerrate!) I am feeling on top of the world still.
My little girl is loving her new playgroup and I am loving the new fee's! Now she is old enough we've put her into a playgroup instead of nusery and fees are reduces from £35 a day to £14.50 a day but the best news is that for some reason they say we only pay £9 so who am I to argue! Just cautious in case they see the error of their ways and decide we now owe them the difference! It's £11 a week less than what I budgetted for YEY
Soo the difference will be going straight off the evil cradit card - Tesco. They are all evil, I was stupid for getting them but easily swayed and it seemed like a good idea at the time! I suppose if I didn't have the debt then I wouldn't have found MSE and wouldn't have met all the lovely people on here - that's the only bonus
today, like every day - I am at work, trying to put as much into my work as I do my new finances spreadsheet! The last week or so has been pretty uneventful financially - I haven't spent though so that is a bonus. I made a few small PaD's to the PaD thread but can't even afford to do that now!
Pay day tomorrow though :T:beer::j
Oooh but I have discovered the joy of the "cheap" shops like Netto. how fab - we eat loads of garlic bread in our house and I can get 3 baguettes for 69p in there! not to mention the deals they do. I have reduced my grocery challenge for next month (25th Sept - 24th Oct) to 175 as I am skint! Also I have done some meal plans to the same date and I forecasted that it will only cost me £105! How good please! Lets wait and see. I am going to start writing more frequent updates on here, a kind of summary or everything I am doing on the other boards too. It can be my motivation all in one place
No news on the baby front yet but we are working on it :rotfl:
I cooked a chicken in my slow cooker yesterday - went down well but I think I prefer the stews/casseroles done in there - trial and error, trial and error.
I also watched the notebook on dvd last nigth and cried for 2 hours non stop! FAB.
Off to do some sums then some work, should be other way round but I am an addict, what can I say

Also a couple of suggestions
1) is the Make £10 a day challenge on the DFW board = a lifesaver for me - I use it to fund luxuries and gifts
2) look the finished hampers section of the special occasions board for xmas ideas.... Also freebies board in the shop but don't drop section

hi ya hun
just read your diary and you are so motivated, well done you!!! You really sound like you are getting to grips with it.
I too am in a very similar boat, not so much debt, but similar age and want to start a family asap!!
Good thinking in shopping in places like nettos and aldi, we dont have a netto here but do have an aldi and farmfoods which i haven't been in yet.
I'm an addict too, once you start you can't stop working out the sums can you and (hopefully) seeing how well you are doing!!
Anyways honeybunch good like and I'll keep reading and I might steal some of your motivation, my diary is very much lacking in it!!!!
post soon
