Websites for sending free UK text messages

If I want to send a free text message from my UK mobile to another UK mobile using a website, is it possible to do this for free?

Importantly though, with the receipient also not having to pay to receive the text message on their mobile.

With no hidden charges and also not having my mobile number or the receipients spammed after using the service.

I found these two sites below and was wondering if anyone here had tried them? Or any other sites you may care to suggest...

http://www.cbfsms.com/
http://gizmosms.com/

Thanks!

cbfsms are in my opinion useless,9 out of 10 messages don't get delivered and normally says its busy 'try again later' so would hate to rely on it,even though it is free and Gizmo's service may not be free for the recipient.

cbfsms doesn't work as far as I am aware and all you get is :spam:
  • Yes O2 is good but they only offer 10 messages per month unless you take up O2 broadband

I have used the following websites, so I can confirm they are legit and they don't charge:

    fonetastic .com
this is quite good, normally you get 10 free sms daily but if you click on some of their offers they give you more message credits. You can also get free logos from them, pretty sure they have other stuff but I have only used their SMS service. If you recommend people you can get 50 credits for 5 emails

    sheriffratings .com
this website is also good, have used 3 or 4 times now, if you rate some of their listed services they give 3 sms credits per rating
