Blackberry Bolt On

Hello,

Please can somebody help me?

Yesterday my mobile contract with O2 came to an end. I went to Phones4U who have given me a free handset upgrade to Blackberry Curve 8900 and an 8GB memory card.

I was given the chance to add Blackberry unlimited email & internet at the time for £10 a month but was advised to add it on 24 hours later myself otherwise I would be tied in to these services for a while if they did it for me.

My question is : Is it worth paying £10 a month for this or would I be better off using the pay as you use option of £2.65 per MB used. I only expect to use the email facility 1-2 times a day, same for the internet but was not sure as to how far I MB would go.

Many thanks, any advice would be welcome before I call O2.

    Check with your operator is it £2.65 per Mb per day, or per month.
    As some operators charge a fee for any use on a day (almost like a connection fee when making phone calls), and then every MB over that is charged at a reduced rate per MB.
    I believe my previosu operator outside of a internet package would be £2 for upto 2MB, then £2 for any per 2MB used after that, on that day.

    I.e.

    If you use 2MB in a month would you pay £5.30 or;

    If you check your emails daily using 40kb everyday (28days) is it £2.65 x 28 (£74.20)

    There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

    :p It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
