Guys, the OP has a laptop, I suspect it is kapput.0
-
the drives have been in some time and both worked ok.
they have been detected in the bios and are detected as secondary master and slave the pimary master detects maxator and auto for the primary slave.they are showing in the device manager with an explanation mark against them.
they dont show on "my computer".
i have tried driver updates, reinstalling them.checking all cables.windows update.they both have power as they open and close.
but the still dont work!!:hello: :j0 -
you could try deleting one of them in device manager, and then running add new hardware, then try with the other one.
If that doesn't work, try unplugging one at a time to see if you can get one working.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
got it sorted. it was something to do with registry editor.and error codes.it came up on the windows help page.
thanks for all your help albertross:hello: :j0
