  • @wrolla - yes, your switch would take immediate effect. Up to you whether you want to wait until your current tariff ends and chanace it not being there, or go for it now

@graceland77 - I wouldn't expect a huge cut to be passed on to consumers, but the Fixed rate tariffs usually come down if the Standard rate tariffs drop as well. Up to you really - do you prefer having to pay the same rate for the next 18 months or however long your chosen Fixed deal is, or would you rather chance it and go with the flow, so to speak?
Where there's a will, there's a way to get something cheaper from somewhere else!! :D
  • Cheers for the info Kane. I'll transfer over in the next day or so.
  • If you go through Quidco you get £62 cashback :j
  • I have gone for that tariff too. Would have liked to have waited until 1st Oct as I fixed ages before prices really started to go up. I did it a few weeks ago just in case it ends before 1st Oct. I also gave my meter readings on line so it`s accurate.

When I spoke to a guy at Eon last week he said if you are a Fixed Tariff the price wouldn't drop if fuel prices go down.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
  • Price protection are the only ones that may go down. Fix fixes it at that rate!
  • Have just switched to Fixonline 3 *gulp*!

    Hi guys,

Just thought I’d post to confirm some details that are being discussed here. :D

As far as I am aware only new customer to the company can get cash back via the aforementioned site. Customers already supplied by E.ON won’t be able to do this.

The FixOnline version 3, definitely is fixed at today’s prices and will not rise or fall during the time of the contract.

Space rider is spot on, the products known as Price Protection will not increase but they can fall. We also used to offer a Capped tariff and this worked in the same way, it was purely a cap not a fix. :)

  • cheers guys, its defo feeling like a massive gamble to fix it on these prices so looking for a change I think, if they are just starting edge the prices now i reckon there are gonna be some big drops over the next few months and defo remember that this fix online tarrif has a 14days cooling off period. will check terms tomorrow but itching to wriggle out of this one. even the new capped energy saver 9 looks like a better bet but gut feeling is still pulling towards track save but who knows!!!
