my grape vine has produced loads this year, I am going to blend them this weekend to make grape juice, may add a bit of lemon and sugar if too bitter but very good if you are suffering with a cold (like I am).Kindness costs nothing0

I second the freeze suggestion, am really enjoying frozen grapes this summer.justin138 wrote:Maybe the cats WOULD eat the grapes then!!
Assume it's the same for cats as dogs, so just a boring note that grapes in quantity are poisonous to some dogs, just in case you try it and they get a taste for them.

I once ordered 12 bags of bananas instead of 12 and 10lbs grapes instead of 1 Lb from Tesco online and was too embarrassed to tell the driver.
Anyway the point of that is
I fed them all to my horse and she loved them, so if you know anyone with a horse!0 -
I live in Spain and we keep getting great huge bunches of grapes given to us by our Spanish neighbours (It's a hard life but someone has to do it).
I don't know what to do with them apart from eat them as they are (too many) or make wine (too time-consuming and wine is really cheap here anyway - also the neighbours give us wine they've made!). I even have a bunch of grapes in the freezer!
The other things they give us (mainly tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes and peppers) we have made into chutney, ratatouille and pasta sauce. It's just the grapes we are puzzled about.
Any suggestions as to what to do with the grapes? Can you make jam with them?(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Just had a quick look for you, and plenty of ideas on these sites - quite like the idea of grape sorbet with vodka, sounds delicious!

Hi Guys
Been lurking for ages but finally need to ask for some advice, I hope thats okay!?
We moved into our house 2 years ago and in the front garden we have a mature grapevine which bears tons of fruit each year (which the birds currently eat!)
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do with all these grapes? This years are particularly good, think that is due to all the rain.
They are green grapes and have seeds in them. I also wondered if there was anything I can do with the leaves?
Any help would be very much appreciated! Many thanks!

Have you got the basics of a home-made wine kit?
That would be my first thought (sorry, this special-offer Malbec from Majestic is going to my head)

Freeze them. I know it sounds mad and I would have thought it was a really stupid idea too but if grapes are nice and sweet they are delicious frozen. Lovely dessert on a hot day.
Jamie Oliver agrees, this is in his Italy book too...0
