    Best bargains

Dewalt 24v battery brand new in packaging. retail £100 bought for £33.01 after partial refund due to misdescription (told it was the 2.4AH when it was in fact the 2.0AH)

Wife bought a ballgown for some £30. It's excellent quality and new. She looks fantastic in it.

I bought a Dewalt 24v cordless drill brand new in box etc. Saved about £120 on RRP.

I've just won another Dewalt 24v Cordless SDS at around £200 off RRP, fingers crossed!

We've recently bought some floor border tiles at £1 per box of 3. As far as I can make out they had a retail price of £10 per box.

    Surely it should be "brought"?

    .

The way to remember this is that bought is to buy (no R)
Brought it to bring (with an R)

So bought is correct as Lois Lane has pointed out.

How about a car with a seized engine for £27? We needed body parts!

It was only 8 miles away too, my DD had a bump in hers and took out the lights ( £75 each from scrapyard) amongst other things.

Still got bits in the garage and my DH reckons it's saved about £500 in bits from scrapyard.

Sentimental for me is 2 tickets for Simon & Garfunkel, bought from a guy down the road as it happens.

best bargain... Now 6 on cassette for 6p.

best thing... everything is a best thing! I use eBay to buy stuff I can't get elsewhere
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

I bought a deleted CD that is very rare and desirable AND it was signed by all the musicians on it. The seller had put it on a £2.95 buy it now! It was a folk CD and the seller didn't know anything about folk music and thought it was worthless. When he emailed me about it he actually seemed amazed that it had sold!

I got my favourite band's first single on seven inch, only 500 copies ever made, it was the one thing I'd been coveting for many, many years.

Not very exciting....but I bought a scanner because I needed to send identification to a betting company, as I only needed it for that I plonked it on eBay the next day and got £80, having only paid £20 a few days earlier!!!
