This has apparently now changed, for 50 years it was unlimited returns policy but late last year they changed it to 3 months. Still a good returns policy  :)

Does anyone know if you can return M&S things to a store that doesn't stock them? My little boy got the most annoyingly noisy toy EVER for his Christmas and I was thinking of trying to return it (receipt-less :-/) but our local M&S doesn't sell toys... Can anyone help? :-/

I'm sure your local store will help if you have the box etc. and they can find it on their system. Is your son happy to lose the toy?!  ::)

Even if it isn't unlimited returns any more, yesterday I took a watch back to the big Manchester M&S in centre of town which was bought for me over a year ago from a totally different region. I had worn it for a few months when it broke. I told them I got it this November as a gift, no receipt, they don't obviously stock the watches any more, but they still gave me £15 in gift vouchers and of the whole returns queue I saw no one coming away empty handed. My advice is to try your luck - what's the worst that could happen?!

Yep, he's only 18 months old so I'm sure he doesn't really remember seeing it for a few minutes on Christmas day. I never took it out of its box as I knew I wouldn't want him to have it (he got so many other pressies anyway!). It's funny how people with no kids are usually the ones who give you the noisiest toys ::)

    Thanks for the reply! :)

Yeah, I'll give it a go. Well done with the watch! :)

Shows as unavalible when you click through to checkout.
Other items do this, like rugs, showing in stock initally.
Better that way than to let you order, then send you an out of stock e-mail,which is what they used to do.
