Private sellers only again which is lucky as I've just finished uploading stock to my business account and will have time for that to go through before I need worry about the private stuff.
I was just getting my act back together on my private account having sold everything I could find lying around in the childrens bedrooms. It looks like I may have to tackle that deep dark cupboard after all....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Anybody who doesn't have a business account basically. (If you don't see "Registered as a Business Seller" under the see other items link then it's a private seller.)montyrebel wrote: »this may seem stupid so feel free to criticise me, but what is a private seller, ie is it just 1 person sitting at home listing things that can be bought by everyone? This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.

Ours is 2 people:D Me and my wife. But to think of it so are our business accounts
. Its more whats being sold. if you are selling your own belongings then its a private account. If you buy things to sell you should (though not all do . Have you registered as a Business anyone!:rotfl:) be using a business account 0 -

I'll add a bit as well. I have a number of accounts and the ones where I sell goods (both new and second hand) that I have bought specifically to sell are all designated business accounts and are declared to HMRC.
The ones I use for the general stuff I have lying around the house, my old clothes, childrens toys and bits and bobs are 'private' accounts and I do not pay tax on the proceeds.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Oh, I think we've all got one of those to sort out :eek:It looks like I may have to tackle that deep dark cupboard after all....
I'm still stuck on the 'visible' stuff though. Decided after the 10 free listing days, that actually, with the new 10% FVFs, I don't fancy paying listing fees as well any more, and would just keep my unsold items in turbo lister ready for free listing days, and on ebid ready for my twice yearly sale.
It's mostly summer clothes, so thought I might be wasting my time now , but sold a load of flip flops the other day so with the free listing might as well give them another go
As well as list the pile of clothes that I didn't get listed last time. Another weekend RUINED by ebay. :rotfl:0 -
Great - thansk - I keep anything worth more than 99p for these days.
Expect everything will be free to list at somepoint (no doubt with FVF increased to 15%).0
