Definitely going to try to work today - I've got to wash my hair and vacuum a couple of stairs in the house, but thats all beforehand.
My skip was delivered! The poor man delivering it - my horrible, uncooperative neighbour has left his car parked across my drive and wouldn't get up (he works late, I saw him get in at 3.30am). I know its late, but his horrible uncooperative family could have moved it in the morning..... the guy dropping the thing off was a star tho, he backed and filled and in the end was getting his back into it and pushing it around like that, to get it straight and to make sure it wasn't overhanging the pavement and is all on my land, so no one can sue me.
I'm glad you are feeling well enough to work :j, but :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: to your neighbour (I'm guessing he knew you were getting a skip delivered) and  to the skip main - so many would have said "Can't manage luv, will have to come back later"Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I know, I was prepared for him to drive off with the skip still on board, and charge me another £40 or so for a second delivery! Good bloke - I'll make sure I tell anyone who has any supervisory role - his company or my builder.
The neighbour - yes, they knew a skip was coming - I watched for them to get home on Monday night, and went out to tell them about it - I was more concerned with them getting in late, they often park skewiff so that they're sticking out onto my property by about 6" - with this lack of concern at good neighbourliness, I really wonder if I'm letting them establish a legal precedent by doing that, and I should say something to stop them. Plus they use my bin when they want to - sometimes with my permission, often not.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well, that was embarrassing. I was trying to work for two hours today - not a huge amount, you'd think? Hah, too much for me - 15minutes into the first hour, I had to call a halt, couldn't hear the client for my coughing  worst possible result. When the F*** am I going to be able to work again?
Oh, and the next problem, which I found when I was preparing the room - I've got damp seeping in around the edges of the room. Something of the same is happening next door too, to the extent that cushions on the floor are wet. Jeez :rolleyes:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

:rotfl: I like that fairy!
My world *is* full of :wall::wall::wall: at the moment - it took me 3 goes to find that emoticon :rotfl:
You know, when somebody's life is full of that wall, it means they're doing something wrong - in spite of the fact that in all of the individual things I'm right, life is so ridiculously difficult at the moment, I just don't trust myself to be on the right track.
Taking stuff - I have fruit cough sweets, strepsils, glycerin cough medicine, paracetemol, lemsip (haven't opened that yet, I'll give it a go) and a couple of other things my mum sent me. At the moment, I think I'll drown my sorrows in a cup of half decaff coffee and then some gluten free pasta. Thank god I bought more than I needed last week!
I'm still alive, its okay - thank you tho!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Reminds me of a time when I had the worst cough in the world.....I cancelled most of my clients but had a client who was taking his driving test the next day and needed hypnosis for nerves beforehand.
So, armed with a large bottle of water and a packet of strepsils I started the session. Part way through he was nicely "under" and I started coughing, ran out of water, ran out of strepsils and ended up leaving the room coughing for a good few minutes outside, going and getting more water,......then came back in and continued the session.
When the session ended, I thought I can't possibly charge the poor guy. So I started off by apologising for the coughing, and he said he didn't notice.........he must have fallen asleep! AND he passed his test the next day.......so obviously I charged him the full whack
Sorry to read about the damp though........and hope you feel better soon.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Shaun - fresh honey and lemon! I have some manuka. No fresh oranges, and I'm not going out to buy any.... I have some out of date value orange juice, that'll do!
Dragon - it would lovely if it was as simple as fixing the damp to get rid of the cough, but the truth is the damp has only happened in the last month, and I used to get ill like this all the time, right from when I was little - my lungs are pretty sensitive, its why we moved outside of Liverpool when I was 5 or 6, to a less polluted part of Merseyside, but my lungs were damaged and that damage has stayed with me. I'm pretty sure the damp course is knackered, thats all.
I think the important thing is I haven't been ill like this for 15 years or so, and now its happening again - as they say on TV, I think my immune system is compromised pretty badly from stress about money.
Hypno - wow! Very impressive! If I could put clients under and then go have a cough, that would be greatas it is, um, they notice when I run out the room with a coughing fit
:o:o I took water, strepsils and those fruit cough sweets into the sess. Didn't do any good
I'm a lost cause.
OTOH, Bubble Shooter has made it back onto Archna's free game of the week on the newsletter, I used to love that - today, on my 2nd go, I just scored 64,790 - I consider that a result! I really am not going to let myself get me down about this - worst case scenario, I buy a smaller house in Crawley than I thought, and take a part time job - and seeing as its about 4 miles from Gatwick airport, I'm sure there will be one along soon. And in my spare time, I build up an online business of some sort. Thats an alternative future that I can live with...
I've just heard a car outside and realise I'm quite worried about my neighbour coming home and creating a fuss on my doorstep about me playing merry hell with his doorknocker this morning to try to get him to move his car. He did it once, years ago, when he was more in the right than me, truth be told - today, I think I have right on my side, if he heard it and *didn't* come to the door, it was 10.30 in the morning after all.
Good grief. I'm off to eat something, I think looking after my blood sugar would help.
