Afternoon all! Thanks for posting - hi again Dragon, yes, I caught that reference on your thread to you thinking you didn't deserve medical treatment! I'm so glad somebody was there to challenge you on that, and start to get you what you may need.
I'm fiddle faddling around - had an absolutely *dreadful* sleep - coughing fits at the start of the night meant I was up till 2am, not good. Still, I'm slowly on the mend - I have to get to bed really early, and keep the room toasty till I'm asleep, and drink enough water and and and ...... treat myself like a princess, basically! And why not?
I've *had* to do non -princessy stuff today - my builder gave me the contact for the skip, so I ordered and paid for that, that was fun. Just realised, tho, that my normal credit card has expired, and not come through with a replacement _pale_ I really hope nothing's happened, thats another phone call I have to make. And I've been doing some writing about what Hypno would call back of the envelope type stuff. *And* I've got the driveway and the garage ready for the skip - there was some builder's sand left over that I need to use to shore up one of the dodgy places that runoff has made problematic, and I've put that in buckets so I can use it later on - yeah, cos I'm such a good builder, I know
Ah well. Finally off to do my scratches, and make that phone call, then off around the diaries.........
EDIT - nope, found the new card in the post that was delivered yesterday - the last day possible, and it was refused by Tesco last week. Bit annoying - its the one I pay off every month tho, may be they don't want me any more2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
*phew* to finding the Credit Card! and well done on getting other things done (I am guessing the skip is going into your drive so you don't need a road permit and lights!), I hope you get some decent sleep soon!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Yep, thats right on all counts - I was relieved I didn't have to struggle with them, its the Coop, and its a charity card (as well as never getting to charge me interest, they pay the RSPB for every £100 I spend on it or something) .....
And yep, the skip will go on the drive - just! - I've been down to the garage and got out the old cat litter trays (kept them in case I had lots of plants I needed to stand in water) to put the topsoil in - its got lots and lots and lots of grape hyacinth bulbs in, tho its also rife with roots from the various trees that have knocked the wall over in the first place. But those roots won't survive on their own........... hmmm...... I think I might post on Fay's thread and check that out......
Not doing anything tonight, just resting. Oh, and the other reason I wanted to come on here was to put a link on to this:
http://www.thehungersite.com
We all do it every so often, but I'd forgotten for ages, personally, and my friend that I recently rediscovered in the library sent me the link, so here it is on my thread again - clicks for charity, as opposed to ourselves.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks folks! They've speeded it up, haven't they? You used to have to press the back button to go between the different pages, now you can just click merrily onwards.
Shutting down now to watch Poirot. I'm a sucker for it, weirdly.
Night night! After its finished, I *am* going to bed, even if I read for half an hour.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Definitely going to try to work today - I've got to wash my hair and vacuum a couple of stairs in the house, but thats all beforehand.
My skip was delivered! The poor man delivering it - my horrible, uncooperative neighbour has left his car parked across my drive and wouldn't get up (he works late, I saw him get in at 3.30am). I know its late, but his horrible uncooperative family could have moved it in the morning..... the guy dropping the thing off was a star tho, he backed and filled and in the end was getting his back into it and pushing it around like that, to get it straight and to make sure it wasn't overhanging the pavement and is all on my land, so no one can sue me.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
