    Thanks Cheery!

Guess what I'm doing? Roaming about the internet looking for a spiffy laptop (i3 processor minimum) and .... dvds of Angel.... :) I like Angel. I identify with Fred, sadly :)

Must have been lovely for you to both meet. Take care and rest. Sounds like a nice way to spend a few hours pottering around the internet. Good luck finding the right laptop

    Good to bring back memories.

I have a photo somewhere of me talking to Linford Christie at a function where he was the after dinner speaker, and every time I see it I can 'hear' parts of his speech, even though it was over 10 years ago.

That man stole my pen in 1991 - I have never forgiven him :rotfl:

Sounds like you have had a good day - hope you get a relaxing few hours now x

I just bought Season 1 of Angel on DVD for £4.20 - I'm now officially one of those sharks on ebay who swoop in during the last 10 seconds :D and I paid with paypal, which is money from my own ebay sales :D

Yep, I like both - I've realised in my visualisations of future riches that I keep imaginging what I think *should* be - meeting friends constantly, going here there and everywhere. And really, I want *some* of that but I think what I was imaging is a bit of a whirlwind - turns out I like a quiet life really! Pottering Is Peachy (as opposed to Gordon Gekko's Greed Is Good).

I love 'Pottering is Peachy' :D:T:T That could be a good diary title...

We're working our way through Buffy and Supernatural at the moment :o

We've got some other DVD's with us to have a break like the Underworld trilogy, and a few French ones to try to keep the French alive.

I did thoroughly indoctrinate the family into sci fi and fantasy from an early age too, so now they lend us things to watch, admittedly they censor some things as not suitable for parents :rotfl:

I think we might have to start on looking for Angel soon.

For the family Christmas, we got a batch of the old Dr Who DVD's off amazon (we like the Old Dr's) waiting to be watched and the BBC 'Box of Delights'.

The others are more than twice the price at the mo, but I've got the bug now, I'll keep watching on ebay - I've now got my eye on Season 5 of Stargate, the one where Michael Shanks left - I've taped everything from the TV, of course, if I don't have it as a bought DVD, but the quality is atrocious, I've done it on the worst setting sometimes, and when I get my nice big LED tv, its going to look even worse than it already does on my laptop screen :o so I'm going to play, but I'm going to be sensible about it too.

Just doing a bit of tidying up here - I've sent out a plea to the universe about self sabotage on MG's thread, which a few people have answered (thank you!!!) and the main action points in relation to health are:

    - absolutely stop eating junk - I've scoffed everything in the house, apart from one wheat-based frozen pizza, which I'll give to my sister next time she's here.
    - really load up on vitamins and minerals.
    - when I can bear it, look for a local herbalist.

KC I don't know how old you are, but one thing to consider is the early signs of the start of the menopause or the menopause itself, if you're unlucky it can have lots of weird and wonderful nasties that can make you feel run down and awful.
