Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
What are you like
wonderful, is what. I knew the guides would be for it if they played up, and as for the suggestion you might rattle Mr B upside down ...
Just zipping back on, reporting my latest conquests of molehills (Sancho Panza tilting at windmills rather comes to mind):
- have gone on to free evening and weekend calls with Virgin - my monthly bill for calls is what my quarterly bill used to be with BT :eek::eek:, lets see if that improves it.
- printed out my mystery shop thingy for Saturday, as I'll be in a rush Fri and Sat
- I won a tenner at free bingo!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Great news on bingo wins.
Good luck with the insurance company.
Ouch to phone bill.0 -

Yep, those are the accounts I'm doing, Wol, the 08-09
grrrrr, I'm really not looking forward to the January tax bill. Taxi's just done hers, and that spurred me on.
Molehills - well, you knowits all just bit by bit, isn't it - babysteps, firefighting, whatever - actually, the molehills bit doesn't make sense, does it :rotfl:I was thinking "making a mountain out of a molehill" - like, its so important, but it doesn't really matter. Our health is so much more important, I think thats what I was thinking. My brain's going at a million miles an hour here!

Molehills are an absolute nuisance aren't they? I always thought a spade and patience worked, but even i wouldn't be that cruel ( well i maybe would, but i think moles are quite cute to look at) Did i tell you i saw a baby beaver at Martin Mere this week? And the new Otters have also given birth to baby Otters known as Kits:D
No complaints yet from parents of naughty Guides, maybe they don't want to hear about things or maybe the offenders will be sneaking in loo roll as a replacement:cool::rotfl:
Have a good weekend with Mystery shops and whatnot.:DxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Bow again, Bob - I was given a freebie £2 - you can't withdraw it, but you can play, and I won £5!
Erm, I've never had a molehill in my garden in my life - too densely populated before this house, and here its all foxes and rabbits, plus the odd badger.
And :dance::dance: to baby beavers and kits! Awwwww........ I wish I could see one. Seen lots of squirrels recently, including one that keeps coming back to the bird feeder and hanging on it upside down trying to get in :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done on the win.
How did you get on with the insurance?0 -
Thanks Taxi! As for the insurance, I was referred to the Subsidence Claims Team, then to an organisation (separate, I think) with the initials IFI - they contacted me and said they'll instruct a named structural engineer to contact me to set up an appointment to come see whats going on. And I was told he'd contact me by close of business on Friday, and I *didn't* go to London, cos everything got cancelled at short notice, but the engineer *didn't* ring
if he doesn't ring by Monday lunchtime, I'll ring them again.
Not pleased with the cancellations, but one of them became a phone session instead, so the loss wasn't as great as it might have been
Today. Done:
- scratches
- printed up mystery shop info ready to go out - I've got three!!! The inputting will be a nightmare, but at least there aren't many expenses, because the single little bus ticket is shared between all of them.
- bought my rail ticket back to Liverpool for Christmas - has to be a single, because I'm coming down from Liverpool after Christmas with my mum, and to get us reservations together, that journey has to be booked as single. And I really didn't want to pay £65 for the journey up there - the cheapo rate London-Liverpool is £11, and thats already gone, but I did manage to get it for £28, which isn't too bad at all.
- just realised I'm going to be out mystery shopping for hours, so I'm taking my trust little vacuum flask (£1.96 from Asda!) which has paid for itself over and over and over again
I hope everyone has a good day!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Plenty on your plate then !!!!
Flasks were a great invention and can save loads..just reminded me I have two ..a food one and an ordinary one...will make use of them over winter...I drink water all other times.
Sorry to hear that the surveyor bloke called..if it's susidence claim is your excess really large..most are £1000!!!...so go over the figures carefully as it may not be worth losing a no claims bonus if it's just over the £1000..SORRY JUST A THOUGHT.0
