Hi Fay! No, sweetie, I didn't think you were trying to get me to keep the sedge! How do I get a viable rootstock for you, tho? Can I cut back the foliage and hack the roots in two with a spade, or what? Better pm me your address now, because when I do it I'll send it the day I get it out of the ground.... oh, and let me know when you're *not* there - no point posting it if you're gone, but pm me the dates, don't put them live on t'internet.
Right. I'm off to see what money is where, and get my painting clothes on, and GET GOING

Hi KC
reading about you wanting herbs and your words about *herbs* made me laugh. When I split up with an ex a few years ago, I moved into a rented flat. We found the remains of what had obviously been a bit of a cottage industry; blackout curtains, hydrphonic (sp?) bulbs on pulleys and extractor fans, but no *herbs*.
Re: real herbs, most are relatively easy to grow, and root veg is good in raised beds.
Sounds like you're having a busy day, but November for Christmas cards? Easy to see you weren't well last year or you would have bought them in January sales.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

The herbs are all Z's fault
and oh, Taxi, the feeling of all this paperwork going is fantastic
Friday, I didn't have much work in London, but I had to go, so I took my faithful laptop and my scanner, and spent a couple of hours scanning all these really old photocopies - I had to keep the information, but I couldn't bear all this *stuff* around, so its halfway gone now
I've only done one set of painting today - I think I've just got time to do some more, its not a huge amount, just the dratted edging and fiddly stuff on one wall. I did go to Sainsbo's tho, and I've done some finance sums, and I've started up on the last stage of the soundproofing for the counselling room, which will make the office a bit more spacious, as the panel was sitting in there. And that will give the workmen room to swing their hammers, so to speak, if I can ever get any of them to come back

Thanks Hypno! It finally starts to feel like it, it truly does. And I just remembered to update the figure for the French mortgage in my sig - because I haven't done it for two months, and a payment has just gone out, its gone down by over a thousand euros

I know it looks odd to say I'm mortgage free when I have a mortgage of just over £48,000 at today's rates, but its mostly taken care of, to tell the truth - the endowment can go completely on that, in two years time, and I'm paying off over 6,000 a year anyway. Its never going to have been a *wise* decision to do what I did, but I've made it work, its good enough, and I'm content to go forward from there (well, I have to be really
)
Right, shutting down to go do that painting in the last of the light - no garden pruning today, thats the only thing on my list that isn't ticked off, its rainy and cold out there.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Good idea scanning stuff in. I might give that a go with the stuff I think I can't throw out. Never thought of it before.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
