    Hi KC.
Oo I am a bit jealous of the Liverpool trip. I havent been "home" for 12 months and I do love mooching around Liverpool at the weekends. Some great little "greasy spoon" cafes around the Phil for lunch.
Just a little tip for your return journey if you havent already booked it. Last year I travelled from London to Widnes and went up the East Coast, the journey was a fraction of the cost and I had to change in Leeds but it was a nice journey (but then I see the journey as part of my holiday) and it was half the price of the Liverpool cost. Also another way to do it is to break the journeys up by buying a ticket to Birmingham then B'Ham to Crewe and Crewe to Liverpool. If you work it out right you dont even need to change trains but I have had a single from Liverpool to B/Ham for £8 before now and the same again for B'Ham to Crewe.

  • I'm reading all this train stuff and almost thinking - thank goodness for isolation - although - 3 ferry companies/4 routes and several flight options doesn't help normally either - I must book my sussex trip to london bit soon - I've the hairy planes sorted but not the inbetween bits.

Glad you got your pipes fixed :) good luck planning your trip.

Hi KC - if you're free on Saturday, my town is having a great day......google my town and festival and you'll see and also the transport links might be useful for you to? DD and I are planning on moseying on up, hopefully with a friend from Brighton, and we'd be delighted if you fancied coming along :) PM me if my message is a bit cryptic and you're free on Saturday and fancy meeting a random stranger off t'internet :)

I haven't been up for a *long* time, because of that winter illness I had, and then my mum was coming down here to be with my sister and help me when I moved here. It will be great going back!

    Hi

glad you've finally arranged your weekend up north. I know you'll be busy with your family etc. but if you have a free half hour and want to meet up for a coffee, pm me.

Agree with hypno, you definitely *sound* more energised since the move.

I'm confused, cherisong, I didn't realise you were scouse ... did I? ... sorry, I'm a bit tired....:o I confess, I've always been a fake scouser: from when I was 6, we were in Wallasey :( and now my mum lives in Formby, has for 20 years or so, bro is in Lancs - tho he manages a drugs agency in Liverpool, and has some hair raising tales of the scallies and the working girls

Thanks for the train tips. The actual trip I've just booked, I had to do the one up for £39, which was a pain, but at least thats from HH itself. I'm proud of the one down tho - megatrain, on a Virgin Trains train, Liverpool to London for £7!!!

Noooooooo! I've got a six hour CPD seminar at The Holiday Inn at Gatwick Airport  This is ridiculous! I'd have *loved* to come to that, and meet you and DD. Okay, the week after a friend is down from Woking, but the week after that is free, something like the 9th October - I gave up and fetched my diary. Are you free any time that weekend?
