Spooky KC, I must have driven past that house yesterday, I think I know which one it is (will drive past s-l-o-w-l-y this morning, lol)! Wonder if they'll have biodegradable balloons outside like a party :)

Good one! I love these open door things, I usually try to visit at least one. You're up *very* early, btw!

Busted :o Erm, by the time I got back from town, I was shattered. Didn't do anything really, just played on the computer. Since I've got the broadband connection back, I've done that a lot :o Previously, I was working till about 8, I'd watch a DVD, and then fall into bed at 10pm - I have to stop doing this, actually, I'd really like to get the house straight for winter (because the 2nd toilet isn't done yet, the living room is still a warehouse). I need to go back to something resembling the way I *was* working.

I am sitting at the computer with the house looking like the aftermath of a burglary, whenever I clean it stays like that for a millisecond, then descends into chaos very quickly!! DD's upstairs "tidying her bedroom", but really listening to a story on CD and I know I have to do something or I'll get told off, lol.

There's always next week for the line dancing.....or another week.....or another ;) I think HH has a belly dancing class too! Take your pick, stetsons or scarves!?!?

In that spirit, I got the dishwasher working yesterday! Only took me 5 days :o I emptied it this morning, soaked things that had been sitting on the side for 3 days, and I've put it on again, packed a little more compactly. When I put it on again tonight, and let the stuff dry overnight in situ, like most people do, I'll be up to date :j:j:j

Also unpacking some glass storage jars - the kitchen still isn't in use as a kitchen, which is difficult, so thank god for frozen veg, says I.

    Today:
    - see if I can go to the eco house, or if its full up I may try the other ones tomorrow, that are more difficult for me to get to.
    - Focus DIY - curtain pole, maybe a batten, one of those light extendible shower rails too (the one thats here is disgusting).
    - a laptop?
    - plus normal shopping.
    - and something pleasurable - mind you, the eco house will be fun.

EDIT - you sweet people! Thank you for your support :kisses3::kisses3:

OOh, eco house sounds exciting, enjoy yourself! :T

And the tidying will still be there waiting for you when you're off the computer - that's the principle I work on anyway! :rotfl:

KC - if you're going to BH for the Focus shop, try Wilkinson's for the curtain pole and things, and in the covered shopping bit there's also Waitrose and a computer shop that repairs and sells laptops :):)

There's also a gazillion charity shops and a great library, what more does a girl need on a Saturday shopping expedition!

Wilkinsons! You're right! I was going to go there anyway for cheap boring lightshades - there's four hallway bulbs practically on the ceiling, Wilkinsons had something appropriate for £1.50 a go last time I was in there. I didn't know about the computer shop - it sounds like it might be an independent, it would be nice to give the profit on the deal to an indie shop. Thank you!
