ryanair checkin

ive booked a return flight from liverpool to palma on the 1st oct with ryanair, it was booked in feb and we paid for airport checkin, since then as you will know ryanair has changed its policy on checking in to online checking in, on the ryanair website it says that passengers who booked before may will still be able to use airport checkin but from the 1st of oct all passengers will need to checkin online, so my query is do i checkin online ? and do i need to checkin for both the outward on inward flights before we fly,
thanx in advance for any help

Booked before 21st May (as you have) and travelling before 25th October (as you are) you can use either on-line or airport method. Don't know where you got the 1st October date from but the 25th October is mentioned in the page linked here.

You don't need to check in for both before you leave but as long as you're return is inside the 15 day window you can. It might be easier to do this at home to save you finding Internet access and a printer when you're away.
  • thanks for the prompt reply i did not see that section you referred to on the website i just read this section in the f.a.q. thanks again for putting my mind at rest

Airport check-in is only available if your flights were booked before the 20th May 2009
Only passengers who booked their flights before the 20th May 2009 and selected to use airport check-in are eligible to use this service. For these passengers, the airport check-In desks close strictly 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time. If checking in baggage we recommend that you arrive at the airport two hours prior to scheduled flight departure. Please note airport check-in will not be available to any passenger travelling after the 1st October 2009.

Better to be safe than sorry and either check-in on line or give them a call to confirm. If you're going to check-in at the airport, print out the page I linked to and take it with you just in case.
