sell it and download yourself a nice free copy of gimp0

I totally disagree, gimp is as complicated as you want to make it or as easy as you like, as for the original question wether you should sell your copy of adobe, personally you may as well if your only going to be editing a few piccies now and then.

Thanks to all the above for your advice.
I think I will sell.
Now to see how to do that on amazon or ebay.
I'll let you know if I manage to sell and what price I get I'd be thrilled with £200.
Thanks again.Be Lucky Everyone0 -

I'd be astonished if there wasn't somebody on these forums who would buy CS4 for 200 quid.
Another smaller point against is that you need one almighty computer to run the thing.0 -

GIMP is awful. If you're just wanting to do simple editing then I've found Paint.NET to give much better results and in a less confusing manner than GIMP.0 -
Bishopsgirl,
I agree you should sell cs4.
There is another programme out there which is simpler to use and does most, if not all, the things photoshop does at a fraction of the price.
Corel Paint Shop Pro X2 is a fabulous programme...far better than your "free". Free ones are great if you only do basic things like crop, photofix etc but if you do more then I'd recommend Corel...you should be able to get it for around £70. There are loads of tutorials on the net also. Corel is easier a lot easier to learn than cs4.

Not really.
My machine is about 2 years old and was quite good when i got it but not top of the range. My machine manages fine.
Better machine helps but an "almighty" one is not necessary
