Help - phone repair needed LG Cookie KP500
My son bought one of these five months ago and spent £100 of his hard-earned pocket money and savings. However, he dropped it and damaged the screen. We took it back to 02 in Coleraine and they quoted £68 to repair it - not covered by warranty as phone was not faulty. This is just too much for him to pay so I'd appreciate suggestions of anywhere else worth trying. Thanks

Did he drop it in the house
, maybe the home insurance would cover it? Well I Love Tv And I Love T. Rex, I Can See Through Your Skirt I've Got X-Ray Spex0 -
Good idea but £50 excess doesn't make it worthwhile. He dropped it out of a tree by the way :rotfl:as you do....0

You might get a better answer over in the Mobile Phones board, I don't know of any local repairers, though that's not to say there aren't any!Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

I'll move this to the mobile board to see if you can get some more help

not sure about that phone in particular...
but my local mobile phone repair shop charged me 20 quid to repair a blackberry that t-mobile said couldnt be repaired...
and there was a bloke in with a phone which needed a new screen, and the asian lad behind the counter said £28 to supply and replace the screen...
so i'd say check your local repair / unlocking mobile shop, or market stall, you'll get it done cheaper.0 -
me again, just checked ebay, and the replacement lcd screens and 29 quid free p+p...
so i'd guess that you probably wont pay more than 35 at a repair shop (as they would be buying the screens in much cheaper)0
