Can anyone help me create a slideshow for webpage? (pretty please)

Hi

I'm getting nowhere fast today. Can anyone point me in the direction of free software/website where I can upload photos, create a slideshow with them, add the slideshow to my own website using the HTML code etc, and NOT have the slideshow link back to the third party website if someone clicks on the photos in the slideshow.

I have tried Flickr, Photobucket and Slide.com today and although the slideshows are great and I try to remove various bits of code to stop the above happening I am having no success.

PLEASE please can someone help?

You'll probably need to do it in javascript as any site making a pretty slideshow will want to get traffic from it.

There are loads of scripts available - just search javascript slideshow
They won't be as pretty as the flash slideshows generated by special purpose sites though.

This was the first from my search..

I've tried http://jalbum.net out, it would fulfil this purpose exactly, allowing to host your slide show on their or your site at no cost and no catches (or advertising - yet). You can choose your slideshow style to,

Not gone well for me. I have created a slideshow and the end result is a URL address. I have no idea how to add that to my website so that that whatever page it goes on play the slideshow when someone navigates to it. I was thinking it would provide the HTML code to cut and paste into my site. Sorry if that's a silly assumption - I am very much a newbie to this stuff.
  • why upload them to a different website??
upload them to your website then use lightbox 2 @

It doesn't matter how they are uploaded so long as they are on the server and you know what the filenames are (including any directory name if that are in (say) /images/ etc.
