Car Tyres - How Long Should They Last
Comments

LOL, I was very chuffed to find the rears wearing out before the fronts on the old BM.As far as how long tyres should last, it all depends on how you drive, what tyre compound you get, etc. I'm happy with anything over 5k miles from a set of rears and 8k on fronts (on a rear wheel drive car).Happy chappy0 -
I wanna be nosey too and ask what kinda car GabbaGabbaHey drives

We have got a Nissan 350Z and it will do about 10000 miles on a set of rears if driven conservatively (which is hard to do in the car I must admit) but if its driven how I like to drive it we would expect only about 2-3000 miles from a rear set  With the traction control off permanently expect even less. The fronts have done about 13000 and still look ok. It has Bridgestones on it at the moment.
No wonder I don't get to drive very often.......:rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I just brough Goodyears F1 225/40/18 for £200 for my fronts.. fitted for another £20 and full laser alignment tracking £47 = £267 They only adjusted my front toe and I can't feel the different in handling..
Make sure you keep your tyre pressures up, as if it wasn't the tracking it defo would have been that!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092
