Hi,
I am looking to go to Pembrokeshire for about 3 days at the end of this month to take in the beautiful scenery, I saw Skomer Island on the TV and it was lovely. I have been looking at my rural retreats private accommodation brochure and their prices are around £120.00 per night and higher. Anyone stayed somewhere scenic with pleasant accommodation iin Pembrokeshire? Any ideas welcome, thanks.

Sadly Pembrokshire has only one form of income and that is Tourism And many people have taken up this idea and prices are very high. Trust me you will not be diasapointed with the coastal scenery its amazing. You didnt say if you were willing to go in a caravan as they are quite cheap at the moment. have you tried https://www.tourlink.co.uk or variations of they are a local company that help promote those that dont have their own websiteTHE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0

http://www.ejcottages.com/ I stayed here a month ago, and it was fantastic. The accommodation couldn't have been any better. The farm buildings were either converted or newly built. The lady who runs it is very friendly, and bakes a welcoming cake for you, and leaves you alone, just waves if she is walking about.

I really wanted to stay at this place, but they were fully booked, they have an apartment, and they also have a cottage in the country

I just did a quick check on the map to see the Island you mentioned, we didn't get to visit the Island, but we did get as far as National Trust Coastline by Stackpole estate which isn't too far away.
I would recommend checking out National Trust Cottages they have some accommodation on the National Trust Coastline which might be nice

we went to st davids in pembrokeshire last august and we thought it was lovely and wild. st davids which is a small village is lovely but it is true if you dont book in advance you might find accommodation. i was told that outside st davids nearer fishguard there is a reasonably priced mobile home campsite. i dont know the name but i remember someone local talking to me about it somewhere. good luck and enjoy. i must say i looked at the ejcottages.com website looks a bit pricey but might be because am living partly in france at the moment if i compare to french prices.0 -

Have a good look here.
Oh yeah you don't have to be a youth either.
They have various useful bit like bagged transfer to the next hostal, there is a five star hostal where you don't have to take any food as there is a restuarant there to enjoy.
i think it is £39 to join for the family and approximately £10 pnpp.
They also have rent a hostal so you can have it to yourself.
Pay and book online or over the phone.
Highly reconmended.0 -
If you are willing to stay in a static caravan then I recommend Cross park near Tenby. We stayed there twice and recommended it to our friends who went in their touring caravan and loved it too. Its a very well looked after park in a great location, with everything you need on it, I would love to go back!

I think you mean Fishguard Bay camp site searcher; it's a lovely quiet site and the views are outstanding - it's not far from where I live. The coast path runs right through the site! Its only downside as far as I can see is that its very remote and isn't within walking distance of a pub/eaterie. OP - check out accommodation in or around Fishguard/Goodwick/Presceli Mountains/Gwaun Valley - all these places on the north coast are wild and beautiful and you might have more of a chance of finding somewhere to stay; the south coast is lovely too of course, but it's a little more 'touristy' around Tenby."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0

Hi,
I have been whizzing round a couple of sites but haven't had much luck yet. I am still looking for a cottage or a nice hotel. Feel free to join the search! We can go 26th or 27th but return on the 30th May.0 -
We stayed here a couple of years ago and had an absolutely brilliant time...

...it's just north of Fishguard in the village of Dinas. It's very quiet and peaceful and although no views from the cottage itself... just climb Dinas mountain and you get the most amazing views. Close to the peaceful beaches at Cwm-Yr-Eglwys (or something like that, apologies for the poor Welsh) and Pwll Gwaellod. If you don't mind a short walk you'll find secluded beaches to yourself (or near enough) at Aberbach and Aberforest.
I can't remember how much we paid, but I think it was pretty cheap..... mind you, if you're going half term week, nothing's particularly cheap.Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.0
