Thought I'd post here as i'm feeling pretty down, upset, worried, everything apart from happy!

just found out may end up with a disiplinary in my job,I know I've done wrong and should have asked for help, but just really worried bout my job,but feeling really down:(Old Account RecoveredDebt at LMB April 2009= £14,980Debt free Sometime in November 2013£69k left of 90k Mortgage - Overpaying by £270 a monthCurrent Savings = £13000MSE turned my life around years ago0 -
What has happened at work???0

I'm with Pania on this one. You know your parents and how they'd react, mine weren't helpful. My mum's best advice was to go to a loan shark (yes, really), and dad kept pressuring me to get a consolidation loan - even though no-one would give me one.
What's happened with your job? We're not being nosy, we might be able to help, or suggest places that can.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Hiya
well to cut a long story short,I haven't paid some premiums over to the other company, when I should have and also I was getting behind on my queries so we have been reported to the big boss.
That account has now been taken off me (feel relieved about that) but I feel as though a disiplianry is coming my way. It was my fault I should have asked for help, but I buried my head in the sand along with everything else:(Old Account RecoveredDebt at LMB April 2009= £14,980Debt free Sometime in November 2013£69k left of 90k Mortgage - Overpaying by £270 a monthCurrent Savings = £13000MSE turned my life around years ago0 -
Like an earlier poster has said, I would tell them but at the same time as having an action plan to deal with it. As long as you demonstrate you are actually doing something about it I am sure it will make them feel much better. Good luck xxLBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0

Hello Yorkshire-Lad, I'm from Yorkshire too eeyyy!
Heres my advice: Just be honest with everyone. Your still really young and yes you've made mistakes but make it clear that you've learnt from them.
Do you live with your parents? Regarding their problems..are they financial problems?0 -
Thanks katy.
Ye I do still live with them, well my dad,mum has recently moved out. There not in financial struggle but have just enough to get byOld Account RecoveredDebt at LMB April 2009= £14,980Debt free Sometime in November 2013£69k left of 90k Mortgage - Overpaying by £270 a monthCurrent Savings = £13000MSE turned my life around years ago0 -
With your work, I wouldn't worry too much, if you have had more work than you can cope with then that should really have been managed better. As long as you haven't been dishonest you should be alright, at the first stage it can only be a verbal warning anyway.
Tell you boss that you have been struggling to cope and need more support but you recognise that it would have been more sensible to have asked for help now and tell them that you have a plan to ensure that things are dealt with better in future.
It won't be the end of the world I promise!

Thanks kat.
I've never been in this kind of situation so I think I was just worrying of it's just verbal.Old Account RecoveredDebt at LMB April 2009= £14,980Debt free Sometime in November 2013£69k left of 90k Mortgage - Overpaying by £270 a monthCurrent Savings = £13000MSE turned my life around years ago0 -
Yeah do not make yourself ill over £10,000, Yes its a fair amount but you have no mortgage to pay or children to support. You've got a job, great, thats all you need to do. As long as your not going out on a weekend and spending £100 or buying lots of things then theres not much more you can do. I've had friends in the same position and now they are pretty much debt free and every things fine again. So keep your head up! x0
