  • Weezl - Glam posted a useful link back in the pregnancy thread. It's for employers to work out SMP - I don't know if it will help, but worth a try...

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/calcs/smp.htm

You would just have to try and work out what your pay amounts and dates would be, and don't worry about the name, it doesn't get used for anything. HTH

Ooohhh.. you might be on to something there!;)

If you're daily rate is over £95 and you do one a week, then, yes, it'll count as earnings and you'd get SMP (I think!). One thing to remember though is that you'd only be getting 90% of the amount you earnt then, not 90% of your usual full pay.

It'd get you across the threshold for SMP and, maybe with some luck, if your company pay qualifying terms are the same (ie "if you get SMP, you get Comp pay too") then you'd get that too, presumably at half of your full pay (as per your contract).

Oh poo! Daily rate too low... Probably I should just let it go! But y'know, it's a fair ole chunka cash :o

    :( Always worth a shot..

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. :o

Of course, do get your HR Dept to check all this for you, but that's the way I understand it and the links to the official infomation (which unfortunately some HR Depts need pointing to in the first place!)

And would flora buttery work in Rocky Road? (and also, cadburys have dairy milk on offer at 99p but they've skimped on 60 grams... Tight wads!)
