  • 1 Keely! Wow!
MM ((((hugs))))) from Els and I for Jas. If it's anything i think its gonna b a long nite her to as el has just woke up screamin so that has scared me so I think I'll get up every hour to check her.

Ladybird I've not read back but I get the jist that she is no longer wanting BF? Is that right? If it is don'tget too worked up about it. Am I right in thinking she is about 9 months old. that is when el decided she no longer wanted BF and wouldn't take FF either so HV were not concerned as long as she was eating and drinking well. Sorry if that is not what you wanted to here just putting a different perpective (sp) on things. I'm so laid back I'm just about horizontal so it really didn't bother me, El obviously just decided enough was wnough. Hope that all makes sense...

I hope it wasn't too badd scruffy :)

I am reluctantly keeping an open mind about that suggestion, particularly as me and my brother had both guven up by this point, as had bith if my son's kids, so maybe it is hereditary? But seeing as it started off when she was teething/ill/possibly both I'm hoping that we can start up again. I'm going to give it a week or so - pumping takes too long and I'm back at work next week, so that might have to be it :(

We've both been for a nap in mummy's bi9g bed since I started typing - I've come back to 3 more pages I don't have tinme to read before we go out, but never mind! Just seeing what we can achieve with the pump - good thing we're only going to my Mum for lunch, as we're goig to be really late.

But - imortant news - Izzy just pulled herself up to standing!!! :T:T That's another shelf that is no longer safe ;)

  • Ladybird, yay for standing! From what I've read, Izzy is at a common age for nursing strikes. I've also read that it is rare for babies to genuinely self-wean at that age, so if you want her to get back to breastfeeding, keep trying. Will she latch if you are carrying her around? When LO is in a fussy or distracted mood, I find humming to him helps. I hope you find a way through this rough patch.

We’re singin ‘It’ll all be ok little Ry
