  • mookie, you might be able to help. I was looking up info for elle on charging orders. When I did my CeMAP we did a section on all of them, and also get quite a few of them in work. As far as I am aware, a charging order cannot force the sale of a property, but they place a 2nd or 3rd charge on the house to claim funds if the house is sold or repossessed if there is any money left after 1st and or 2nd charges have been paid.
Now I can't find the form I thought I had, do you know if this is still the case ??

Straight to the top of the class MM!:o

Yes, I think thats right, when the property is sold, the charges are paid in order of priority starting with the mortgage and then the others in order of being placed on the title deeds.

sami, from the bathroom, I think the house is a repossesion. So probably a very good bargain... :) They usually drain the system and tape the toilet like that one. But you probably knew that :p:D
oh I didn't know that, it does say no chain (sorry to the owners but yey for us if it means a bargain)
Hubby said he likes it and said not to worry about selling our house he reckons we'd have no choice but to sell it to a development company (boo and yey at the same time)
Think I might go and view it
oh and made us chuckle that the paper in the 3rd bedroom is what we have here on the landing/stairs/kitchen :p

Hello, sorry. I have three girls age 7, 4 and 2 and girl number four is on the way! Eeek. I am mostly a lurker, sorry, but I *know* of Weezl74 from Old Style. Congrats by the way Weezl74.

oh how lovely! (if a little scary when considering 4 girls fighting over straighteners in a few years :p) feel free to pop in any time :)
Did you see the horses they had on the apprentice? I'd love one of those!
One of the families I used to baby sit for had one of them, I don't think it was remotely comfy for a small child to sit on and I was scared to death of damaging it!

Nope, I have a bad habit of just going away, last year we went 6 times, all but one was just me and the kids, last minute UK breaks at £100 or less. My counsellor said it showed an inability to face my problems. :rotfl:

To be honest we have talked about it but we'll struggle on without! We're both happier this way :) and OH has a little bit of time to write.
