Not daft at all bookie, I would be pretty mad too. In fact I would be seething and chewing the ear off anyone close to hand. The fact that you can't do it or don't want to is for you to decide but I agree you should have been the next in line.

She obviously sees somthing in you that she wishes she had herself. You are lovely and she is clearly a mean and spiteful old witch, there is one for a start.
You do what you do for the right reasons, because you get something out of giving yourself fully and freely to others. And of course we all want to be appreciated, there is nothing worse than doing your best only to have someone slap your confidence at every turn.
