I currently have :
SKY - for Digital TV
BT - Line Rental and Landline Phone
PLUSNET - Broadband
Now I pay:
£77.88 Per month for SKY (Full package,HD,Multi-room and MUTV)
£19.99 Per Month for Plusnet Broadband
&
£17 Per Month BT Line Rental
I was wondering what if any package would be best to switch to to cut down on the above package.
The requirements are:
The fastest possible broadband speed with unlimited downloads
Full Sky TV
Not to bothered about Landline phone as I use my mobile for all calls which is on a o2 monthly contract @ £35

Either:
- Move it all to Sky
- Cancel Sky and use Freeview
- Ditch Plusnet and use O2 broadband
- Move everything to Virgin Media0 -
Nightsurfer, I can't help directly as you are way out of my league, but I wanted to tell you that I have Freeview only for Digital TV, no landline just a cheap PAYG mobile phone that I use very occasionally and a prepaid mobile broadband dongle that should last me until the middle of 2011.
This costs me around £5 per MONTH only, and I am very happy with it all, it meets my basic requirements. I did not know that people spend as much as you have been.
I may try HD Digital Freesat (BBC not Sky) later as there is just a one-off cost with no subscriptions or contracts.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

i have just switched everything to virgin; they gave me a free V+ box for switching from sky, first 2 months free, free installation and as my sister has virgin i did the 'introduce a friend' thing and got an extra $30 off future bill. i'm not sure how much what you wanted would be but mine is $46 per month (inc phoneline, xl telly and v+ and broadband) so it may be worth ringing them and asking:A0

Also my sister has mobile with them which is $25 per month for 500 mins unlimited texts and unlimited internet. i'm still tied to o2 but may switch when i can as seems a better deal than i'm on!:A0

Thanks for all that - will have a look at what Virgin has to offer0

virgin is £46 a mth is that right. At the moment i pay sky £26 for broadband and tv and then bt is £15 mth. In theory that is only £41 mth and cheaper than virgin.................. i am also looking to find a cheaper deal. May need to be no tv package (have freeview) - then the £5 broadband and £15 bt.............DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts
Just to see which month

I would stick to your contract phone if you use that on a regular basis so you can save £17 on BT rental, then get a dongle if you are in a good enough signal area to replace the wired broadband.0
