They would be free within certain limits to discuss a variety of topics. One of the male members could be a board guide for the Ladies section.
    yes. wise move

although it will be tough finding someone suitable to moderate the wide range of 'ladies' topics....

will you be nominating yourself for that very important role?

I'm thinking of all those nights when I'm the only female here. Who would I talk to? :(
Create a male sockie, jump in, job done. Be suspicious if you see a Mrs.Mewbie blowing kisses everybody and talking about blouses. Tip for the fellas pretending to be female sockies (becuase there will be some) - a blouse is like a shirt. And never call a dress a skirt, unless it is.

If I were to be nominated I would be prepared to consider it, but I am not considering standing for the position, unless of course.. etc.
  • The ladies could have a Prices, Mortgages and Tax forum perhaps?

Interesting idea.Has Julie really upset you this much mewbie?
I've moved on from Julie, it was just an idea to have a bit of fun with. Thought it might generate a whole new level of ranting, but so far the Ladies have taken it in a very relaxed fashion. Post something like this in the 70's and you'd be crucified.
  • with no serious debate re HP this type of OP is inevitable and a tad mysoginistic.

    having said that:

Q: why did the woman monitor HP falls?

A: never mind about that. what was she doing out of the kitchen?

I still can't work out whether mewbie is a bird or a bloke.

Well, er, it has not been categorically proven that mewbie is a male. It's a non... a... a name that has no sex attached to it. So I might just keep my options open girlfriend. Let's kick those men to the kerb.

How many people had Internet forums in the 70s?
