Shop around for the best deal but if you go for Vodafone and it's a special deal, beware of Vodafone changing the terms and conditions and charging you extra for a service that was supposed to be included. It happened to me!

I relied on the terms and conditions remaining on their site but they took them off. Suggest you print out or keep a copy on your computer, just in case.

Sure, could you tell me what you are currently getting with vodafone? Is this an upgrade offer or are you enquiring about new connections?

A few people have managed to get the magic for 20/m on an 18 month contract with 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet on a new connection. Phone them and tell them your friends were offered the same deal and you would lik the same. You may be asked for their details or refused, but phone again and again, it took some people 5 attempts.

Forget him, call them again and you will get someone else.

Just so you know, I called vodafone an hour ago and told them I was interested in the above priceplan for my dad (600 mins, unltd texts and internet for £17.50), without even haggling, I was offered this deal for 15 months out of the 18 months on my first attempt.

I also enquired about more minutes, and was offered 900 minutes for £22.50 for 15/18 and 1200 mins for £25.00, and also either unlimited landline calls or voda to voda with one of those priceplans.

The phones I could get were the Magic or the Nokia E71. Not bad as this is a 50% discount. I will be eligible to upgrade after month 15 and thus keep the line rental down.

I will be waiting for my PAC code from Three tomorrow and a call back from the friendly chap at Voda so I can use that number. I have also been emailed the details of the above price plans.

I must say, for all the trouble I experienced with vodafone back in July, the last two deals I have been offered are somewhat redeeming them.
