Which Operating System are you using? If it's good ol' Win98, then look here:

You need to install the display graphics card driver.
Without opening the pc it could be dificult to know whihc card you have in there especially if it is a custom built pc. you should have a disk that came with the card or pc that will have the driver on.
put the disk in the drive
open control panel
open system
click on the hardware tab
click the device manager button
find the display option and expand the tree
select the vga card and then properties and click update or reinstall driver.
use the wizard to let it search for the driver on the disk you put in hofully it wil find the driver it needs.
in device manager you should repeate this for anyother items that have an exclamation mark against it.
if you have a branded pc put the make and model up and we will find the correct drivers for you.0 -

Follow Little John's advice. If you don't have the driver disk for your graphics card, then you will need to download it from somewhere like www.driverguide.com .
There are programs you can download and run if you don't know the make of your card, like Belarc, downloadable for free here:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
This will list all the software and hardware installed on your system0 -
its a pentium 30

Is it a branded PC (if so which model - you should be able to find the video drivers on the manufacturers website), or a home build?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Almost certainly a driver problem. Does your motherboard use intergrated video graphics or agp graphics card. Your need to determine what drivers are required. You need to check motherboard brand and model or graphics card model. All drivers are available for free download. You need to use belarc before you reformat to list specs and software currently on your PC.
You may have to open your PC to find out what you need. If your unsure about opening your pc may have a collegue or friend with some pc experince.
Be careful, although relatively straight forward you must take the right precautions to safe guard your PC but more importantly yourself! common drivers are nvidia or sis
If your using a legit copy of XP doing a windows update might resolve the problem."Food has replaced sex in my life. Now, even I can't get into my own pants."0 -
Is the information i gave not enough to know what to downlaod then?0
