In our house, old cereal boxes get used opened out and slid under the old motorbike in the shed to catch occasional oil drips.Howwwwwww Much????0

My son uses old cereal boxes in his snake tank. They make good houses for the snake. Snakes feel secure if they are sleeping in something that is just a little bigger than them.0

I cut them up into strips for shopping lists - they are easier to find in your bag than a flimsy bit of paper!0

Place a pile of used cereal boxes at the bottom of your stairs. In the event of you falling down the stairs, they will cushion your landing; therefore avoiding broken bones and a trip to your nearest A&E. :idea:0

It's jam and chutney making season and the plastic bag inside, once well washed and dried, is perfect for cutting circles out of to use instead of the 'wax proofed discs' you can buy, which never seem to be the correct size for my jars.0

I use them to cut out templates for quilting, shopping lists, inside shoes (for extra warmth), shredded for the compost heap. The bag is used in the freezer, for sandwiches, for jam pots. All in all, a blooming useful thing to have!0

Cut them down a little way, stuff trimmings in bottom then fill them with teabags, veg peelings etc then the whole lot can go straight into the compost heap. Don't let the sit on a counter too long though or the colour can come out. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
