    I have a suggestion...

I have noticed that someone always responds to those who make comments in the codes only thread to point out their mistake. This is not helpful to those of us who log in thinking that there is a genuine alert. Would it be better if individuals PMd those who comment inappropriately in the thread? :undecided They'd soon get the message

Oh no they don't. I've tried that in the past and you don't even get a thank you when you send them the link to the discussion threads.

Works on very very very rare occasions.

Poster is apologetic and courteous and fully understands the whys and wherefores of the "errors of their ways".

Most of the time totally the opposite.

Also the logistics are a problem - either NO-ONE PMs thinking someone else has already done it or EVERYONE PMs.

So the PM never happens and the poster doesn't get "reprimanded" or the poster gets BOMBARDED with "chastisements" and feels "bullied", ganged-up on etc. and never wants to post anything ever again(ish)

Oh don't we have some right little smart aleks posting on the non chat thread today. And they all should know better.
I honestly don't understand the need to constantly update someone else's post but some seem to get a thrill from it or so it seems to me!

And I apologise for originally posting this in the wrong thread.:o

Hi all, wonder if anyone can help as I have never been to a Sky screening before and Alice in Wonderland is my first (First free film to come to Cheltenham this year at long blooming last!!)

Anyway, I had an email saying 6.30 for 7.50 start, is there any reason why you need to be there so early or can you go later? I don't want to be hanging around for an hour and 20 for nothing...the cinema has quite small screens so not an issue with size and seating...they never do this for seefilmfirst ones anyway....

    Any help or advice appreciated.

I know you don't want to hang around but a word to the wise...do. Better early than no entry at all because you are late or because they gave more tix than seats. Take your mp3 or a book or knitting or do maths in your head but above all be early rather than late. Enjoy it:beer:

(This is my share of the advised asked)

The reason they tell you to get there at 6.30 is because they will be showing live 'action' from the red carpet before the film.
I'm not going myself but if I were I'd heed Marialionza's advice and get there on time just in case.
