Haven't even seen rummy's post, I didn't get an alert for some reason, will have to sort that out. Thanks for confirming I haven't lost my marbles
Have told friend we are getting there for 6pm at the latest. Especially as it will be high security - mobile phones will probably be taken.
Can't wait. :j
Sorry to all those who missed out but keep trying, there will be returns.
Dont think there will be any security as such there. If it was anything like the shrek one I went to, it was screening (almost) as normal except there were extra opportunities to spend money on things like shrek ear hairbands and lots of extra mobile food stands. (I think there was face painting too all whilst you were waiting in the queue). When you got in to the screening, they then showed all the action from the premier on the big screen so cast interviews etc as they walked into their own screening. Our Shrek one was very busy and lots of local celebs such as radio people etc did go but there was no security etc around them. Hope that helpsDFW 228 LONG H 68

Several of the big films attract security; Star Trek and Bruno in particular spring to mind. At both of those we had our mobile phones taken and it has happened at other films at other venues in the past too.
I am not saying it will definitely happen but to warn people it might happen.0 -

Trip to SPECSAVERS required I think.
Braehead, Glasgow & Edinburgh Wester Hailes are FOREVER being posted.
I can't remember the number of times I've posted codes myself that include these venues.
Definitely more often than not.

.... and that's the polite version.
This was posted on the codes board obviously to goad me into posting there. As this ignorant person only wants to chat on the codes thread, I would be highly surprised if they will make their way here.Yes, we get the point! You're the third member of the codes only police to point this out in the last 5 messages. Regardless of wether this is a codes only thread the people were only trying to help and it hardly deviates much from codes only to state that a showing is sold out. No doubt I'll be told of next like a naughty schoolchild!
M Thomson, if you do make your way here, you obviously DON'T get the point or else you wouldn't break the rules of that particular thread or did you want to behave like a petulant child!
People are NOT helping by saying that various cinemas are sold out because tickets are returned and quite often tickets will become available even on the day of the preview. Sometimes more tickets are released by the agencies issuing them. Posting that a cinema has no tickets could put newer previewers off and they might miss out on a ticket.
Also by posting a non code message you are alerting hundreds of people eager to see what film they can try to get tickets for. Some of those people are at work and might be limited in their use of the Internet. Some people will use their mobile phones and pay to read that yet another rude ignoramus has posted chat. Are you willing to refund their charges for each time they log in? No. I thought not.
BTW by behaving in the way you did you are leaving yourself open to being reported to the moderators. They can limit your access. Would you like that or would you prefer to sit on the naughty step.
Grow up, learn to read and try to behave in a civilised manner in a community that is here to help and share with others.0 -
I have the idea that these people are just doing this because they are angry at themselves and have to let the steam out in one way or another. Their best way is creating problems to others.
M Thompson there are many other circles where you can go if you don't like ours. Help yourself. We won't be offended! Thanks to those who help us to win !0 -
The other board is codes only for a reason.
I have email alerts set up on my mobile and it's highly irrating when people like the last couple of idiots post unrelated guff on the board.
The amount of people thanking the "board police" should give an indication of the general feeling towards these unhelpful posts.0
