I hope you'll tell us more when you get your system back to normal but I have two questions.

    1) 19?? Is that all that turned up or is that the amount left standing when it finished?

    2) Why did it run until Friday when it was expected to finish on Thursday? Did the rest breaks over run or were there screening problems?
Yeah as quoia said, around 30 people were let in Monday morning after that you couldn't join the marathon. 19 people were left officially at the end, but when counted there was 21 so a few people obviously sneaked back in.

2)The P.R firm didn't caculate it properly and thought LOST episodes were shorter and didn't calculate the regular breaks, apparently the cinema told them but they didn't listen. tsk tsk. I guess they didn't want to hire the cinema for 5 days.

It was surprising that it wasn't packed, a lot of people were interested in it though we had Simon Pegg tweeting and the LOST creators so it got a lot of pubilcity but by then people couldn't join in.

    i guess:

    • Staying in a cinema for 24-7
    • Sleeping on chairs and
    • Not having a shower for days
This probably made most give it a miss BUT am sure they'll be one in U.S soon and we'll see how well that goes.

Thanks quota and MisterLondoner, I must have missed the numbers part of your post with it being between photos.

I honestly thought there would be far more people too. Some people don't have a sense of adventure I guess. I take it the polar bear didn't put in an appearance then? lol

  • Hi im sure this has been asked 20 million times but I can never get onto the link for the sky codes.

A permanet link was put up in Jan and it did work I bypassed everything and just had to register my email address but this does not seem to work any more is there anyway for updating this

I have tried the links posted for Charlie st Cloud and the Worlds greatest dad but you still have to go through everything and it locks you out for not being a sky customer

Sorry for the long windedness hope someone can help thanks

    i use this oneShyler posted

"use this link instead to gain direct access (just copy and take out the space first) bit. ly/dktHBy "

remember to take out the space.. worked for me.

Oh and sadly no Polar Bears Pooch :( but we did have a few reporters there on some days, most puzzled on why were still at the cinema. A few paramedics were converted into LOST fans and are planning to buy the rest of the seasons!
  • IF WE KEEP POSTING SKY LINKS THEY WILL BE BANNED. PLEASE KEEP THEM TO PM. Thanks

Seriously, i can't see a problem with the link i've provided (that has been used by quite a lot of people according to bit .ly!!

surely if sky was going to 'ban' the link i've figured out (which does more than lets you in - it updates the browser to let you in the next 6months also) and you quoted "if your not on sky PM me and i'll send you the link" then they will create a fake account and ask you for the link......

Holding the code back and declaring that people have to PM you just makes it more work for the poster as they will have to reply to everyone asking for the link, plus most people who come on here aren't registered (I only registered to give the backdoor out) so that means people who dont register will miss out on the films also....

Because the link has been shortened by myself to not give out any of the details as to what passcode is being used sky can intercept - but it will be hard work for them to do-so, plus they can't stop the people who have already used the link to access the site and now have a cookie to give them access in the future.

So the only reason i can think of you telling people not to give out the bit .ly link is because you dont want other people to benefit from the movies provided by sky

    - once the link has stopped working then moan - but until then let people enjoy it!!! they're not a freebie if nobody can access them are they!! - cheer up....

    You what???

Please read through all of my posts and see how many codes/links/passwords I have supplied for other people to claim tickets through (even when my cinema isnt listed so I have no reason to be bothered in the code) before coming up with such slanderous remarks!

Ben ignore him, just ignore him. And if he sends you a pm, ignore that too.

Fair enough - but please explain then why you keep telling people (myself included) not to give out the sky code. (not that it is giving out the code, its just offering a way in)

Its not affecting you in anyway, you've already used my code and have access to their site from now on, so why should you care? as I said, they stop the code then you still have access because you have the cookie on your computer now.

and as i said - the only reason i could think of why you suggested teh above was so nobody benefits from the sky offer - because your basically telling people not to publish it thus people who dont register on this site wont get the access they need to the site (so in a way that is with-holding the code from people)

I'm not gonna argue about this - but if i see things on teh sky site i will continue to post with the short-link that i originally posted

I'm not on my computer at the moment but can somebody please contact a Board Guide and ask for ALL the conversational non-code posts on the code only thread to be deleted. It drives me mad when people alert us to say they have cancelled tickets but now they are chatting about it too. Grrr

    Thanks
