Just returned 2 tickets for The Switch at Sheffield Vue (Meadowhall) on Tuesday 22 August - sky preview HTH

Managed to get them for Lincoln so no longer have to take daughter shopping at Meadowhell!!! :)
Valuable life advice: never play chicken with a lion...the lion will ALWAYS win!

I registered with showfilmfirst many months ago but have never received a code from them.

I have recently applied for tickets using a code given on the code thread here and recieved the tickets and e-mail confirmation with no problems so I know my details are registered correctly and any e-mails are being received.

I e-mailed them to ask why I have never been offered any tickets and was told:

"Unfortunately it is the film companies decision as to where special previews are held and beyond our control but don’t give up as we have many planned this year – we will let you know when there is one near you."

I do understand this but l live near a number of cinemas - Esher, Staines, Woking, Walton, Guildford, Kingston - and also within striking distance of London so I don't see that geography can be the problem.

I have contacted them again to explain this but they have not replied.

Any suggestions? Is there perhaps somewhere on the site where I need to indicate where I can travel too?

    Many thanks,

    Andrea

I think its the lucky few who get codes emailed through to them to be honest!! Your best bet is to subscribe to the codes thread so you get a notification email each time someone is kind enough to post one.

They don't just email codes they put them in magazines, on Facebook, have seen them lately on the talktalkfilms forum etc. But they normally end up here.

.....I'm hoping no tickets to any films I can take the kids to come out in the next week as I off to Sunny Devon, enjoy your previews everyone!! :)

    I agree.
What puzzles me is if you can't chat on a 'discussion' thread, where do we chat?? In codes only? Ha ha ha

ha ha... but replies directed at one person in particular isnt 'chat' is it love. . would suggest a pm??... i send a pm and post a reply to those who request tickets, just to make sure they get the message....

This thread does amuse me, there is more discussion of the rules, than Free Cinema Ticket/Film Discussion :rotfl:

There have been no offers for Exeter recently. Looks like the extreme SW is out of the loop....

Was nice today...but Exeter was the coldest place in the UK on Friday. Hence the reason I want free cinema tickets!
