Did either of you, or anyone else for that matter who went to a Cats & Dogs free preview, happen to remember if there was ANOTHER 3D screening shown just before C&D started ? Quite short, about 3 minutes ?

Yes there was - a Wily Coyote cartoon. Very funny.

That's right, it was the Road Runner. I could only recall the character at the start but was very pleasantly surprised at it being the Road Runner.

Why did you ask quoia, wasn't it shown at your screening?

    THANKS for replying everyone.

Actually I never got to go in the end.

I asked because I've only just learned that this NEW 3D Road Runner & Wiley Coyote cartoon "Coyote Falls" was being shown prior to the Cats & Dogs film now that it has been released.

I wondered if it was included in the previews. Obviously it was.

I often listen to the film phone-in on Radio Five - part of the Up All Night programme - the "resident" film reviewer & buff Dave Aldridge commented about it.

He was basically of the same opinion as Rainey LB's DD - the best part of Cats & Dogs ?
    The ROADRUNNER CARTOON !!!

I love a good dopey animal film lol
I saw the Last Airbender this morning and really enjoyed it. Although some of the acting was a little dire, I loved the story the music and the overall look of the film. However I did think that the effects weren't special enough to warrant it being shown in 3D.

The three people who shared my ticket thought it was wonderful and true to the series.

I'm looking forward to the next in the trilogy.

yeah the 3D was a bit lame, not as good as others i've seen

and agree on some of the acting, still a decent watch tho
  • I'm getting fed up with chat on the codes thread.

But not as fed up with the idiots who think it's a good idea to reprimand them with yet MORE chat!!

Just a quick PM to offenders please. It's the right thing to do.
  • Saw Sorcerers Apprentice this morning at the Lowry...absolutely loved it! :T Given all the films just recently in 3D that really don't warrant it - really think Disney missed a trick with not adding this to the list for 3D treatment! :p

We saw the last airbender this morning and despite the dire reviews thought it was quite good! The acting was a bit slow sometimes but then again the young lad that plays the lead is not an actor and has never had any acting experience!

Enjoyed the film although the 3D effects were not hugely impressive - I was more impressed at the slow motion fight scenes!! I was intrigued enough to want to know how the next film will pan out though so had to be something to it.

I was there also loved it and agree I was surprised it wasn't in 3D would have made a really good film even better.

My friend had to leave though as her kids were scared, surprised it was a PG I would have thought a 12A would have been more appropriate.

I loved Nicolas Cage and the main character, I remember him from She's out of my League, he was good in that also.
  • In the codes only forum I've read that some people get alerts everytime someone posts something - how do i set this up if i want to be alerted too?

    Thanks

I didn't see anyone leave (think I was so engrossed though, swooning over nic cage.....). A nice lady gave my DS some popcorn because she'd bought too much :D
