Ultimately, I don't think Bad Lieutenant is the type of film to see in the cinema. It is however a very good movie, in my opinion. Cage absolutely encapsulates the character of somebody on the edge - something he's always been good at doing, but sadly he's constantly miscast in poor action movies.
I think you need to be accustomed to Herzog's style of film-making to truly appreciate this one, in my opinion.

First movie I've been to where people left half way thru, including me and my mate. I dont mind siting through a half bad movie (i love you phillip morris for example) but this was terrible! the best bit of the movie was the start, and as soon as he hit the water it went down hill

so glad i didnt pay to see it

as per usual with mr cage - very hitting missy

Couldn't disagree more. It only got better and better towards the end. I guess you didn't wait long enough to see it!

It's not a fun movie or a blockbuster, you have to give it a chance, but it is very good and Cage and the support cast are fantastic.

Do you have to be over 18 to get tickets? My daughter got 4 tickets from the metro paper this morning on her way to school, she put her dob in correctly and she got the email confirming it, would hate her to be turned away along with her friends :)

It's a PG certificate if that helps.

You can read exactly what that means on bbfc

Bad Lieutenant was pretty good. It isn't a movie for under 18's for a reason, so I hope they DO get turned away. You don't want your kids watching it.

If it's anythinglike the first one with William Daffoe you are 100% right.
