  • Thanks for this - have just ordered although it says 4 or more weeks for delivery!

Does anyone know where I can get some decent left handed scissors, my daughter has so much trouble at school trying to cut things out - she is 10 so doesn't necessarily need childrens scissors.

Many years ago aged 16 my boss at the time sent me out for a left handed hammer and some tartan paint. Also to get a plug filled with 13 amps.

I'd been pre-warned he would so just went off out on my scooter for the day, I returned just before knocking off time feigning surprise and he was well pleased with himself.

I had a nice day out in Wales!

The long weight must be a similar thing as a long stand. Many a work experience kid has come to me asking for one, its amazing how long some of them will wait for one.

But the pencils are genuine ive already got some ordered.

Lefties are gonna take over the world!!

  • Not sure on the confusion. No practical jokes. I have trouble writing for any extended period of time due to a mild form of palsy (a little like permanent carpal tunnel) so prefer pens that are thicker and have a comfortable grip. These grips are often shaped for finger comfort meaning left and right handed grips are different. It doesn't make any different whether I'm writing with a pen or pencil, the underlying issue is the same.

This find is indeed a bargain for those who need it. I wonder if anywhere else will be reducing their left-handed pencils if they haven't sold as well as others (not sure I can be bothered to wait 4 weeks)
hey there's no money but we couldn't be happier if we tried

  • I am a leftie and there was nothing for lefties when I was at school. My ds also is What I had the most problem with was as someone said seeing what I was writing. I have found that most of us lefties get over this by having the paper sideways. The problem my ds had was that the way the spelling books were arranged was impossible for him. I can't quite remember why now. I think the spellings were on the wrong side of the page for him.
None the less, we both prefer to type. though we can both play the guitar right handed. And use scissors right handed.
My main problem occured in the 3rd year of senior school with a calligraphy teacher insisting that I kept my book square. You can imagine what a mess that was. A calligraphy pen with my hand dragging over it.
Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
