Morning lovelies. Up at 6 to give Nathan his weetabix so thought I'd pop on and say mornin' xxx

Got group today. To be honest I have been feeling pretty fab. Brain played a few crazy tricks on me (yesterday I was planning what I'd do if Hubbles was dead:eek::confused: like what to do with the flat and whether to go to my parents etc. Most bizarre) but mostly I've been feeling quite smiley and have had no black days so hopefully next week doc will take meds back down a level:D.

Nothing much planned for the afternoon though.

Have a good one :hello:

P.S. I was in uni 9/11 and completely oblivious. Heard folk talking about not being able to go on holidays and just thought it was a strike or something until I got home and turned on the TV. A terrible day that really did change the world for the West:(

    morning everyone :hello:

Luc glad to hear you are feeling good, I hope that feeling lasts and you are through the worst of the pnd.

I haven't thought about what I would do if hubby died but I have recently been putting together an 'in case of my death' kit. I do all of the financial stuff here, sort out banking and insurances etc. So, if I suddenly died he wouldn't know where to start. I don't think he even knows his own bank log in. So, I've put together a box with all the important stuff in. Life insurance policies, a list of our bank accounts etc... plus a little note telling him how much I love him but to live his life and to be happy. You just never know when your time is up do you.

Anyway, on to more cheerful stuff :) I think today is going to be a warm one so I might take lily out for a long walk today to do the 'stuff' I need to do, rather than take the car. I am so sick of being fat and really want to do something about it now. I don't want to be fat and 40 (which is looming).

I know loads of you here did really well on cambridge diet but I can't do that because of my soy allergy but I've been looking at the go lower diet and I might try it. It's about the same price as cambridge I think but instead of shakes you get meals instead.

Either that or I might go back on Atkins. I did it before, loads of times  and although I hate it, I find it really tough, it does work for me. I think it's partly because I know what I can and can't eat so it takes out the temptation to cheat which I find I do on things like weight watchers. Plus, I get so sick of protein I find myself not wanting food because I can't face any more meat.

Morning all...the sun is shining, DD's left 20 mins ago for their bus and the house is quiet...bliss.

A million and one things to do today so best get started I suppose.

Yesterdays mini meltdown is well and truely over, had to give myself a good talking to last night...DH needs my support and not a blubbering wreck...so today will be PMA all the way (with the support of chocolate!)

First job of the day - going to colour my hair and trim my fringe as it's driving me scatty.

    Morning....

Luci I think that is quite normal when you have a baby to start to think things like that. Toto has the right idea, I have a little pack with all important stuff in it as my OH has no clue either.

I was due to go to America on 12/9 - we spent four days being told to 'check in as normal' at Manchester airport (2 hours away) and spent much of our time up and down the motorway in airports not having a clue what would happen, but knowing in our heart of hearts we were going nowhere....When it happened I was at work and we had tv's on so watched the 2nd tower (shudders at thought) as it happened.....awful awful...

We got to go to America three weeks later and the people were thrilled to see us and we got the parks to ourselves....

In half an hour I will officially be a school run mum.... oh god!!

Luc glad you're feeling better. Thought's like that are normal hun, having kids makes us realise how fragile life is and makes us aware of our own (and loved ones) mortality. Don't worry hun.

  • Morning all.....taking DS to the Orthodontist this morning, for his brace fitting-yuk,I remember how much I hated mine!
We were in Washington on 8/11(hey-8 years ago today!) as it was DH first trip in sole command as a Captain,so I went with him.Sat in the flt deck etc. Just as well I did, as we landed at LHR early morning on 9/11, came home and had a few hours kip and watched it all unfold. That was the last time family were allowed in flt deck,so kids have never seen him do his "day job"..
Good idea re the box of financial info-I should do summat similar-I doubt DH knows bank log ins etc either, never mind who all the insurance etc is with....
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
