Going to sort it!

A great find this site and very happy that I can say what Debt I am in and it feels good.

So I am just copying other people and listing my debt. A few months ago everything was out of hand and I had over £34K of debt. I have set up a Payplan repayment plan and am pay £486.89 per month.

At this precise time I have £32,712.36 of debt and a Debt Free date of November 2011. I am keen to clear this sooner if at all possible.

This amount does not include this months payment so I will soon have it lower.

Just like to say its comforting to read everybody's experiences and to know I am not alone, and to gain advice from you all. Thanks for that and allowing me to share my debt. I will keep updating this and hopefully it will help me get out of debt quicker.

I cannot wait. I am such a stupid prat for getting into this situation and it all stemmed from a Barclaycard just just 3 years ago.

The £30K mark is going to be great to break. If I stick to the plan I will be at £28,817.24 by the end of the year.

Ok - some advice needed - considering the amounts below I have an extra £20 odd this month so far from some money owed to me - would you suggest trying to get rid of my 02 creditor (£27.77) or use it against one of the bigger debts.

probably would be best paying off one of the higher interest cards first but for a feel good factor and to pay off one of your debts pay off the O2 one.
Have you had any bank or credit card charges ? if so have you looked into claiming them back ?

Personally I like to get rid of all the fiddly debts first. Other people might say pay it off the debt with the highest APR but I think it might be be better just to rid yourself of the 02 debt and be done with it.

I am on a repayment plan with Payplan so interest charges have been frozen on everything now except the Barclays Overdraft.
Therefore I think I will try to get rid of the 02 bill as you suggest. Its then 8 creditors instead of 9 and although its only psychological its one less and an 'achievement'.
