Urgent help needed with travelling to GERMANY!

Hi guys
I'm heading to Oktoberfest soon and need your help!
I've had to change flights and as a result book more very last minute.
I need to fly into Germany on the evening of the 18th September (working till 5pm in London). Happy to fly out of any London airport.
I basically need help knowing where I can fly into, in Germany. As in, fly in somewhere and take a coach transfer if it's going to save me money.
I need to return to London on the 21st September - again looking for the cheapest flight possible. I can also fly into Manchester if it'll be cheaper as once I get to London I'll be taking a coach (£3!) to Manchester anyway.
I've had a look at screen scraping sites but it's difficult without knowing where it's possible to fly into in Germany.
Also, can I sell my existing Ryanair flights on Gumtree if the buyer was happy to pay a name change fee? Does Ryanair allow this? If so, what is the cost to change names?
Thanks in advance!

Easyjet has a sale on but on the dates and times you want It will cost you £240. I don't suppose that helps much.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Ryanair does allow a name change. Here are the detailsHow much will a name change cost and how can I do this?
Passenger names can be changed via the following methods:- Up to 4 hours prior to the schedule flight departure time via the Manage My Booking section of the website at a discounted rate. Please note - A passenger name can only be changed via this method before a passenger has checked in online.
- Alternatively a Ryanair call centre (subject to opening hours) can change a passenger name up to 4 hours before the scheduled flight departure time. (Full rates apply)
- At the airport a passenger name can be changed up to 40 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time (Full rates apply)
There is a name change fee per person. No fare difference is charged when changing a passenger name only.
No changes to the passenger name can take place once a passenger has checked in for a flight.0 -
You need to fly into Munich orrrrrrrrr go here and this site
http://vacation.away.com/germany/travel-m4-munich-airports-cid4184-midairportlist-p1.html
tells you other airports near Munich. You can always fly into others but being there are quite a few airlines that fly into Munich..sure you can find a deal.
Good luck.

really doubt you will find someone to take your Ryanair tickets as the fee to change the name is Name Change Fee* - Per Passenger£100
Unless your flights were very expensive it is probably cheaper someone just buying tickets from Ryanair0 -
Being German - I might be able to offer some assistance.
To get to Munich you can fly into the following airports:
1. Munich
2. Memmingen referred to as Munich West
3. Nuremberg (ca. 2hrs by train north east of Munich)
4. Innsbruck/Austria (south of Munich)
5. Salzburg/Austria (east of Munich - dont know how far in drive time)
Hope this helps and have fun in Munich.
Should you miss out on the "real" Oktoberfest you could always the Bavarian Beerhouse, near Morfields Eye Hospital in London.Challenges:

Skyscanner is useful when you don't care too much about which airport:
http://www.skyscanner.net/flights/lond/de/090922/090929/cheapest-flights-to-germany-from-london-in-september-2009.html0 -
I've had a look at the airports listed above however flights are very expensive (more so than the airports I've tried).
I've found cheapish flights from London to the following parts of Germany:
Dusseldorf Weeze (Ryanair)
Frankfurt Hahn (Ryanair)
Bremen (Ryanair)
Can I get from any of these airports to Munich via coach / train? Which are the closer ones, if any?
Thanks

Hahn is a few hundred miles from Munich, but is nearer than the other two.0

Do you not drive? Fly into one of the airports and rent a car. Otherwise you're gonna have to PAY. It's not much time left so not gonna find too many deals I would think.
Hmm if they have it in Sept..why do they call it Oktoberfest hehe :P

Try germanwings to Stuttgart early on the 19th from Stansted:
Sat, 19 Sep 09, 07:55 - 10:30 Fare price 49.99 GBP
Mon, 21 Sep 09, 19:20 - 20:00 Fare price 69.99 GBP
Total fare 119.98 GBP
You can easily catch a train from Stuttgart to Munich - 2-3hrs max, and regular.
For £80 more, you could fly the night before on the 18th at 8.30pm, but you wouldn't land till 11.05pm and might struggle to catch a train at that time. Even if you did, you wouldn't get to Munich till the early hours of Saturday.
Lufthansa is £226 return to Stuttgart, but you can fly to Munich via Dusseldorf for £267 return, leaving Heathrow at 17.50 on 18.9.09
