What is the most common problem of a computer if it's crashing continuously? My computer really annoys me every time it's crashing down!I've already contacted a technician to check on it but still after a few hours it crashed again!

how is it crashing there are many ways they crash, what are you doing when it crashes what error messages do you get? etc.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740

I'll just wait for a few minutes and I'll turn it on again. It crashes every time I play app games on facebook or when I convert downloaded files. There's no message popping up when it was about to crash.0

XP or Vista?
You can get a better idea of what is causing the crash by looking in the event viewer under control panel-> admin tools and looking for a red cross and the word error under application and/or system. Click on this and see what information it gives.
Failing that, at a guess its a problem with the browser, or its addons like flash or perhaps even a faulty memory module..
If you are using internet explorer, try downloading fire fox / chrome and see if that resolves the problem with face book. Then try windows update and see if all patches have been installed. If a memory module isn't at fault, then it could be codecs not properly registered, hence causing a crash during conversion. I'll dig out a few links later to different codecs and see if that helps.0 -

Two things to check:
Device manager for any yellows
Device Manager/IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, and open up Properties on each drive and check for DMA if available and enable if possible.0 -
what operating system and service packs installed, how much memory, how old is it, need more input.
Computers DONT turn themselves off, something causes them to turn off,
something is causing it to shutdown
1. download hijackthis 2.0.2, malwarebytes antispyware,
2. install malwarebytes and update, run a quick scan, if it finds anything click the DELETE/REMOVE, and post log file here
3. run hijackthis and create a scan log, post log here
1-3 safe to do.
sometimes windows files can be replaced with infected files, and can be replaced by doing the following.
4. if you have the windows cd handy, open a command prompt. and type in the following:
SFC /purgecache cleans the cache files out
SFC /scannow replaces any cache files with original files.
DO NOT TYPE THIS COMMANDS IF YOU DONT HAVE THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS CD.0 -
