    Hopefully you'll be fine.

The CPL wouldn't let us adopt a cat as our house was too close to the road
  • Have you heard back from the CP people yet Fire Fox?

Hopefully no news is good news but I think that's pretty poor of them not to have told you by now :o

They should have let you know there and then. The other option is the RSPCA or another local cat charity in your area.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • FF: Anyone who likes cats as much as you do must be a very decent person! Hope it goes well, I've been a CPL supporter for years & whilst they are sometimes over-cautious they (sadly) have reason to be... and they are a charity with lots of other pressures...

Best wishes, you'll find a happy moggie who'll no doubt decide they've landed in moggie-heaven..

    Cheers!

  • Try this site - sorry if it's been mentioned before - if the others are dragging their feet - go elsewhere -lots of moggies needing a good home after all!

I still haven't heard from Cats Protection. :( She discussed all the requirements of a cat on the day, the standard patter, and then went through which particular cats might be available so I did think I might have passed. I would imagine if the answer was no she might not want to say that while sitting in my flat in case I went off on one, but I would have expected to hear by now. I rang earlier and left a message, but forgot to leave my number again. Don't want to keep ringing in case she thinks I am a nutter.

I have already contacted the two most local rescues and they didn't have any suitable cats, and I also think if one place thinks I am not suitable maybe it's not fair to have a cat here.

awww i'm sorry that you still haven't heard back from them

if they do say no then don't feel that you can't have a cat
"I am an insomniac, so I was really excited when I was able to get a full night's sleep. I said to a friend, 'Just keep your fingers crossed that I get lucky again tonight!' Realizing what I said, I tried to correct it and said, 'No, I mean, I just hope that I get some tonight!' After that, I decided to shut up."
